I'm not your Daddy, Leo (and thankfully so because I couldn't afford all the court mandated therapy you require) ... but I do think your addiction is healthier than other Disney addictions like buying pins and vinyl ... or taking pictures of every construction wall and character appereance instead of getting a real job!

<<Please write back soon, because I fear this addiction may be causing me great harm! I can't pee without thinking about Cinderella's smiling face!! Are these golden showers of magic bad for me?!?>>

Some folks would say golden showers of magic are perfectly fine, others would say you should be jailed for enjoying them ... of course, those folks would likely be the ones engaging in these such magical activities!

I disagree largely ... Al Lutz complains about the same things for going on 15 years now online ... he is many things, but ignored isn't one.

Now, i do agree that sometimes an exec or manager will ignore complaints if they come from a 'chronic' complainer or some Spirit who just plain isn't liked.

I once wanted to complain about something that was potentially a very serious issue that could result in guest injuries or worse at a WDW deluxe resort. Problem was, I had a history with the GM. I was told 'Mr. Z would rather see the place destroyed than take advice from you'by a CM pal.

I agreed, knowing how petty and ignorant some folks can be. So ... I had a low level CM 'report' the issue and then I set three guests that weren't in my party to complain.

The issue was fixed within a few days.

Yes. But the broader issue there is whether the parks are as important as the ancillary businesses like timeshares and real estate, retail, dining etc.

But yeah, having Eric in charge of three parks is really crazy. With all the attention at MK, you can pretty much guarantee no action at EPCOT or TPFKaTD-MGMS (beyond ST 2.0) for years.

And Joe is busy building timeshares on Oahu, so DAK sits and nothing happens.

I think you just proved the point. If Big Al has to complain about the same thing for 15 years without results, no one is listening to him either.

I'll disagree with you there - there isn't the budget to justify a different SVP running each park. Eric oversees the whole of WDW from a creative development POV and does a great job considering the resource constraint. As far as I know Eric isn't into the day-to-day execution of the Fantasyland Expansion - there is a separate show producer on that project. I guess he may be executive producer but that isn't a hands-on role.

Look at TDR/HKDLR/DCL - you have one WDI creative development portfolio leader for all three of those projects. And there are billions of dollars being invested in those over the next 5 years. Granted most of the work on the DCL was done before Joe's appointment but he is still the lead creative.

Wow, SVPs must cost a lot of money. I'll bet you could divide that salary in half, hire one extra person, and still pay the both of them >$90k per year.

That's a distinct possability, but do you think that would be possible to do without receiving an ADMIN?
