Oh no, I think you misunderstood.

Al has gotten results by driving the points home. The things he points out generally get some action.

My point was he generally stomps on the corporate mindset that hasn't changed much from the mid-90s to today ... that mindset hasn't changed, but things get done in Anaheim in spite of it.

I guess he may be executive producer but that isn't a hands-on role.>>

If the budget isn't there, then you get a bigger budget.

Important parts of a business shouldn't be minimalized because you can do things cheaper.

That's been the mindset of Disney again since the 1990s.

<<Look at TDR/HKDLR/DCL - you have one WDI creative development portfolio leader for all three of those projects. And there are billions of dollars being invested in those over the next 5 years. Granted most of the work on the DCL was done before Joe's appointment but he is still the lead creative. >>

I thought Joe was originally in charge of just TDR. Wasn't Tom M. in charge of HKDL? So, Disney wants to just add more to its portfolio leaders?

Again, that's fine if they have enough resources below them so that one park doesn't get more attention than others.

Not sure what Joe L. is doing day-to-day, but he sure is getting a lot of face time for things I feel are pretty minor ... like the virtual portholes on the Disney Dream.

Grocery store, I think you can get away with.

I wouldn't want my doctor to see me in a Grumpy (or in your case, Tink) tee.

you do know it's Marty Balin who sings today right ? Somestimes hard to separate their voices and although I love Grace- Marty's is better.

During the filming of Monterey in 1967- the cameraman was so in love with Grace he had the camera on her 'mouthing' the words while off camera Marty actually was singing the song..LOL !

I met Grace on a book signing tour - she was very cool

ummm I doubt thats true. Disney is not going to change stuff due to one disgruntled online blogger. Most of the changes are coincidental. More often then not Disney ignores people like Al. They know what they are doing and are not going to look at oline sites for ideas and inspiration or even take them seriously. Al Is the Michael Moore of Disney. A guy who feels like he is changing stuff but in all relaity he's not and is just a big joke!!

Thanks for the info VBDAD. I had no idea. I thought she sang the song for over 40 years now. What a dummy.
She really belts it out with Starship with Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now. One of my favorites. Was that Mickey Thomas singing with her then?

I'd share a Dole Whip with you if I had one right now.

There's a place on the net that sells all the ingrediants you need to make one. I sure have been considering buying them. There's noting better than putting chemicals, and artificial flavoring in your system.

AND NO SPIRIT. Dole Whips are not over rated.

If you mean by everyone except Burbank, Glendale, Anaheim, Orlando, local and national REAL media and fanbois world-wide then you probably are correct.

The rest of the population of the planet most likely has no clue who Al is or ignores him.

But when people from Bob Iger to John Lasseter to Jay Rasulo to George Kalogridis to Tony Baxter to beat writers for major local/regional/national pubs to even Wall Street analysts who follow the company (some that I actually DO know) read him either regularly or even once in a while, your argument just reeks.

Reeks of someone he likely ripped (or their projects) before WDI canned them, is that what happened Manny?

YES, PIERCE, Dole Whips are over rated.

UNLESS you are having one on the Plantation on Oahu ... nothing like a Dole Whip sundae with banana and toasted coconut and caramel and cherries!
