And if the Disney World Tiki Room is so unpopular, why don't they have the good sense to change that show back to the original?

Plus, they have all the programming done for it, so it couldn't be too big of a deal to install it at WDW as Tokyo's tiki room is an exact clone of WDW's. Tokyo's new Stitch show is cute too, but it will never come to WDW with the failure of Stitch Encounter (not to mention the insanely expensive Stitch Audio Animatronic that's in Tokyo's new Stitch Tiki show).

I agree with others that the original Tiki Room show should be exclusive to Disneyland forever.

Is it really necessary to keep saying this over and over and over again? You're like a broken record, and it's quickly becoming annoying. <<

Bellella voices a legit concern ... that if it was so easy to convert 'small world' to include Disney Toons .. then it seems it's "open season" to ALL the classic attractions.

If the Haunted Mansion movie a few years ago was a smash hit ... I can picture a set of "young turks" (as Alice Davis would put it) .. throw in Eddie Murphy's character .. and for good measure .. how about Chip and Dale in the grave yard section ... just for the "cute" factor .. to make the ride more relevant to today's youth!

    So ....
    I'm worried too.
Just because Tiki Room received a great refurbishment for 2005 (Thanks to Matt Oimmet's fantastic leadership) does not mean the latest "young turks" running WDI won't come up with some inane excuse to add toons SOMEWHERE else. Take your pick: The Matterhorn, Space Mountain, Big Thunder, the Tiki Room, Jungle Cruise, or all of them.

All in the name of - "The toons are popular, so therefore - Toon everything!"

    Are you really?

Seriously, don't you think perhaps it's not THAT big of a thing to get worked up about? (either they'll do it, or they won't, or maybe they'll just tear the place down and put up a smootie cart in it's place..either way, what can ya do?)

    Jeesh.

Personally, I am getting pretty borderline about spending hard earned vacation dollars at a park I have been to many times. Disney is just not giving me enough reasons to want to return.

Being big on nostalgia, and a Tiki fan, some stupid toon overhaul of that famous room would just about do it for me. I would voice my displeasure simply by not going anymore.

Believe it or not, there are other vacation options out there beside disney parks.

I guess I'd be just so mad at everything there that I wouldn't go to the park anymore, and it would really break my heart to stop. So, when all's said and done, I'm hoping that they keep the Tiki Room the way it is always.

And those are just a few examples, there are plenty more.
