My first visit to Knott's was in 1978. Does that count?

Judging by the video clip it looks like something designed using Roller Coaster Tycoon.

Splash has a slug of animatronics, catchy music and a really well designed flume. It also can live up to its name and really get you wet, which has never happened to me at Knotts. However, in the end it's just as fun. So Splash has the glitz and Timber has the nostalgia which makes them both great.

The "E" Ticket magazine had a great article/interview with him.

Those are the two 'must rides' for me at Knott's. Yeah, it's mostly for the nostalgia.

Hey SMGV. It's a fact. Even today, Bud's shop still plops out new fiberglass sombreros for the Happy Bean Pots on occasion.

One obscure fact that I have never seen published is that Bud Hurlbut was invited to attend the very first Blue-Sky meeting for POTC held by Walt Disney himself.

    Good times.

No matter the pay level, every major company requires drug and background tests. I think that it has something to do with liability. What's your thoughts?

Funny thing about Knott's Berry Farm, even today, there is a very high percentage of "rank & file" employees who exceed ten years on the job. Ten years at Knott's is considered "short timer" status.

Of course, there is no union taking dues. KBF offers a very good 401K plan as well as medical insurance.

Yeah, I guess you could be right in stating that Knott's draws in Disney rejects.
