Shutting down this section of the boards is not the right thing to do. One thing that would really help is if Doobie would update the threads so that each inappropriate post could be reported immediately. I love LP but the technology behind these boards is incredibly archaic.

But as Dave mentioned, Doobie didn't set up this section because he loves impashioned political discourse. He set it up to keep the likes of Beau away from the other sections. For that reason, I imagine he'll keep it (note that when a new person signs up for the boards, WE doesn't even come up on their "sections" options. You have to physically alter your preferences to even see it! (which makes it all the stupider when Beau plays his little "I'm new here" games...I know 5 year olds who have superior maturity)
