Yeah, you're right about that...I guess I meant that his being there was the only tie to the previous show.

"WDI have been tinkering with some ideas for Lincoln when it returns. I'm still for it returning to its original presentation and moving it to a much smaller facility. That theater really should be used for something else. Something that really is the right way for guests to begin their Disneyland day."

This sounds good to me. I couldn't care less if the current show comes back or not. I would like to have the original back somewhere, but I do like the idea of having something new go in there.

Hey, Lee, speaking of on the road, do you know any more about where the show is going? The exhibit website still doesn't list an itinerary. I sure hope it makes it's way to NYC someday!

NYC is on the "must" list for the exhibit's organisers.

I hope Lincoln comes back sans headphones. I remember talk of him moving to a smaller theater years ago. But where? He would fit thematically in the NOS/Frontierland area. Maybe a small theater along the Big Thunder Trail? Then use the Opera House for DL 3-D films, which would not have to be limited to the Tomorrowland theme?

Would Mickey's PhilharMagic fit in the Opera House?

Two Muppet films would be overkill. They would have to get rid of the current one, and if they did make a new film, it would just make sense to put it in the existing MuppetVision building, no? Like I asked above, would Mickey's PhilharMagic fit in the Opera House?

I know that might kill any live entertainment in there, but then again...maybe it wouldn't. If they kept the stage front for performances, maybe they could do both?? I don't know, I'm just grasping at straws here...

As to the closing of Time Keeper, i hope they do something with the building, WDW's magic kingdom seems to have a large number of empty buildings and locations.
    -skyway terminals
    -diamond horseshoe theater
    -empty theater in Tomorrowland
    -Keelboat, Canoe landing
I always wanted to see Timekeeper. i always heard the show was doomed, because Pressler didn't like it. It is sad to see the show close though with no firm replacement. Sounds like the Disneyland Subs.
As to the carrousel of progress going away, good riddance. i may be in the minority her, but the Carrousel Of Progress is boring and very dated.

I too like the COP, and would like to see update to it. The clothing in the last scene screams 1980s. There definately needs to be a more futuristic view at this point. I would like to see that this attraction remain.

Maybe a Monster's Inc. Ride would be a nice attraction as Stitch is a bummer of an attraction.

I know, but I was just saying they should not revisit that idea for the Opera House.

I hope not, since that would be three "toon" based attractions, with Buzz, Stitch, and Monster's Inc. Plus, if an Incredibles attraction was put in....geez! Too many characters! I hope it's an entirely new concept.

You should not replace rides with new ones :( Better to have new rides in a new location, and keep the old ones :)

Here's to hoping it is not dealing with Monster's Inc. First of all, what on earth does Monsters have anything to do with the future. At least Stitch and Buzz are aliens

Number 2- Add the Monsters ride to MK and youve got yourself a major Pixar overload. Buzz, Stitch, and Sully all within a few steps of each other... Tomorrowland would cease to exist as Walt knew it.

(then again I shouldnt be surprised since anything Disney does these days except Everest is attatched to Pixar's precious children with the MOnsters ride, the Nemo show at Theatere in the Wild, and the Living Seas Nemo refurb... whats next, each EPCOT pavillion gets its own Pixar movie? "Coming soon, Figment and Mr. Incredible take you on a journey into the imagination." I shudder at the thought)

As for Carousel. I love it. The song, the corny dialouge, the evrything. It's everthing that anti-"Sticht's great escape" about Disney. I go with the person who suggested going bacl to the original show. Retro vision of the future, which'd fit Tomorrowland since thats supposedly it's theme ( although I wouldn't be surprised if the theme is really "Pixar land: Go to your local video store now!!!"

    The Figment Movie.
That sounds like an interesting idea. Figment goes in search of Dreamfinder, yada, yada, yada...

To be fair, Walt never knew the Florida version of Tomorrowland. But in general I agree with your post - Monsters has no business in Tomorrowland. I don't mind the Pixar stuff, but let's keep at least the illusion of a theme, and put Monsters in Fantasyland where it belongs.
