Not Tokyo length of course, but still pretty solid, considering how massive and large the floats are (backstage pics showed them working on the Ratatouille unit...it's huge). Other than that, couldn't they just rebuild another parade barn if need be somewhere else? I noticed the BPB/PPP one is also kind of in an odd position if they expand out into the Timon lot. Plus, the night parades usually don't have show stops and are pretty decent in length." i have not seen much about the new parade but i do hear that it will be fun. I never cared for the location of the new parade building. some felt it was the best location because that corner really had no way of expanding out from Paradise pier. Screamin's load and service shack is in that corner. I just felt that it was to close to the paradise pier bridge. I always felt that bridge could be retroffited so that it also had an entrance into any new addition into timon. The parade building will not be visible from Cars Land though since the mountain range will block its view.

With either the wharf or PP, that path would block the access for parade floats. Of course, they could easily set it up like the gates along the Big Thunder Trail near the Village Haus, where they are open to allow pedestiran access, and then they can change it, so they are closed to pedestrian access, and allow parade access backstage. This would only limit the traffic flow during parades (and shortly before or after depending on the direction), and still allow for normal traffic the rest of the time. If they wanted to get really fancy with it, they could even theme them to look like rocks or something other than just gates (it would be pretty easy to put some plants on them, which would hide everything pretty well, just put a planter at the base of them). I feel like no matter what they do, there will need to be a crossover point where they can have it be onstage or backstage, depending on what's needed at the moment. Carsland will be too mig of an addition to only allow for access through HPB. The park's layout as it is really needs a connection between the TOT area and the wharf or Screamin. The addition of more stuff back there will only make it worse. Unless they leave enough space to the northwest of Carsland when they build it for parade holding and turn arounds, they will also need a way for the parade to pass by the entrance. I'm not sure what they will do, but I doubt they will just ignore it.

I've taken an image of the central part of NOS and altered it to fit the area west of TOT. I imagine this to be like the Hollywood hills area, with architecture of the buildings being in numerous styles, but with the small intimate streets you find in new Orleans square. There would be room for a small D or E ticket, as well as more restaurants and shops. East of TOT, I have added a berm that would have the Hollywoodland sign on it. The berm could be built atop of a warehouse that could house all the relocated electrical services for the backstage area. Moving FFF would also enable them to add a new darkride there. What does everyone think?

I have always pictured TOT being DCA's version of HM, but the area as is now is quite lacking in many ways. Then they would still have that area south of TOT for future development. Perhaps if a hit, Carland can take some of that over... but I am already feeling weary of the size of this new land as it is.

That same person also posted another idea he had that would had basically torned out the north east corner of the animation building. and then had it rebuilt over the road leading to TOT. If i remember correctly his idea was to forcully make everyone enter the Hyperion thru its main entrance at the end of the main road. The xit would had been split with exits into tower courtyard and existing facade for Hyperion. He then created a diagonal street that would end directly in front of the Tower facade. The remaining animation building would still have part of its lobby, turtle talk and sorcerors workshop. Animation academy eliminated. I remember saving a link because I thought it was quite creative. let me see if I still have it.

This allowed him to build a road down the area to TOT and a smaller road into FFF. Not sure if i would agree with him on the road to FFF unless the area is highly landscape to allow for a proper transition from the other facades. I do like the visibillity that the tower would get once people reached the crossroad in HPB main street. The building area pushed over by the Hyperion would also allow for either a small eatery and a restroom facility that could have access on the Hyperion courtyard area.

But now, it seems, they are adding that, or at least more family types of stuff that was not really there before so this area kind of isn't all that important. If there was something there that was really great...but, it's not. Just a nicely decorated kiddie area. So I would think that they could get rid of this area, or modify it in some way. Why not? The place isn't a museum.
