Many a Disneyland ride are based on movies that nearly no one has heard of or seen (i.e. Splash Mountain= Songs of the South, Mr. Toad= The Adventures of Ichabad Crane and Mr. Toad) and they're huge ride success stories. So who cares if it's based on direct to DVD movies, Tinkerbell has always been a hit in the Disney world, might as well give her her own ride.

She's been with us since Peter Pan; she belongs in Fantasyland; she introduced the original tv show and countless movies with a wave of her wand. She is a Disney icon. The minute I see her in Soarin' I get fresh chills of anticipation for what is about to happen next. Even without the movie, I would find a dark ride to be magical, if done right. (I wish I could italicize that last phrase. If they just junk up a ride just for junk's sake, it would be very disappointing.) Admittedly, I did like the movie, so I am aware I am in the minority here. I enjoyed learning how she came to "be".

No. I'm a grown man and I'm sick to death of girlie, cutesy, fey, precious things being added over and over at DLR. A Tinkerbell ride? To me it's junk made for kids. Can you imagine the Imagineers of today creating something ambitious and adult oriented like Hall of Presidents, The Peoplemover, or Circlevision for DLR now? I can't.
Originally Posted By FerretAfros Isn't she already in the Peter Pan ride? That might make it a little confusing to have her featured in two different attractions at the same time. They could, theoretically, take her out of PP, but she really does play a fairly significant role in the story there (you know, getting the kids to fly so they can get to Neverland and all), and she has the nify effect of turning the pirate ship gold, so I'd like to see her stay where she is.

And I think Tinkerbell could really do this well. I think it may be simailar to the end of the E.T. ride. I'm not a big fan of the rides that just tell the story of the movie, like Winnie the Pooh or Pinocchio. why would i pay a bunchof money to go on a ride that is just whats in the movie. That seems stupid to me

It was imagineers proposal to save Captain Hooks Galley during the 1982 Fantasyland renovation ... but a "squabble" sought to see it's (unplanned) demolition. This would be WDI's vindication to get back ... what was not intended to be destroyed. But here I'm talking the galley, Skull rock ... not one but TWO dark rides. But the idea is nice in theory.

Depending on where it sits ... is how far east a new building could fit. Of course .. the more room the better. And who cares if Autopia's lanes have to be recessed to a point!
