You could try Craigslist or something similar, but I don't know if you'll have any luck. I personally wouldn't trust a ticket from there, so I don't know if you'd be able to find any buyers out there

I'll keep an ear out for anybody who might be interested. I'm travelling with a large-ish group that will have a variety of travel plans, so it's entirely possible that somebody will be looking for just that. I think I'm looking for a 2-day hopper for myself, but I haven't really figured out the details of the trip yet

Thanks, but my friend with whom I ran Princess has decided she wants to run the DL Half to earn her C2C. :) She'll be taking my ticket since she doesn't have an AP. I'm grateful not only to have a travel partner, but to not have to worry about the hassle of selling it.

My physical therapist will release me to run after my visit with him tomorrow for a final round of ASTYM and dry needles. I'll do my best to increase gradually and not push it so I'm not injured for Labor Day.

This week though, I'm starting my training for DL. I'm afraid it will sneak up on me and summer will fly by.

Wonder when rD will give us a look at the medal?? I've hoping for something special for the anniversary year and also because it's DL 60th. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I hope the DL1/2 10 year medal is a good one, too. There's so much they can do with it!

I was actually looking at things last night, and theres a chance I could make it work this year. I need to check with my boss to see if I could work from our HQ office that week, and just stay in SoCal, since I'll be there the weekend before regardless

I can't believe the DL Half (10 years!!!) is a month and a half away already. All these races come up so quickly! I'm looking forward to it, since I haven't had a race since May.

Who else is running the half labor day weekend?

DL1/2 will be my first real race since January (I'm not counting the 5K I did with my brother in March), so it will be interesting to see how everything goes. I've had a busy couple weeks so I've fallen behind on training, but I think I should be able to get back on track with a couple nice runs this weekend

I lost 2-3 weeks due to traveling for two weeks and only able to get 2 runs in and then getting the flu for a week. I felt slow running this week, but I think a few long runs and I should be ready, but I know it will be a slow race. I've already accepted that :p
I'm gonna be on a plane for the tinker bell early registration next week, so I'll have to wait til the general onsale. I think it should be ok, the onsale craziness have slowed a bit.

Now, if they could just set it up so you could upload your proof of time right away, so you don't forget about it...

The reason we deferred was because my sister was going through chemo. She finished up three weeks ago and today got the all clear from her post chemo CT scan. I liked the synchronicity.

And even though it will be your first Half, you can still submit a previous race. They'll take a 10K or longer, so if you have something to base it on you can get moved up. The expected finish times for the last few corrals are usually pretty close together, so even if it only gives you a 5 minute faster time, you could be moved up several corrals. Without proof, you'll almost certainly end up in the last corral

Able to sign up for the 1/2 had time to sign up the family for the 5K.
It so easy this time around I even called Active to make sure everything was OK.

Think good thoughts for me. I have been dealing with an Achilles problem since a few weeks after Princess and have been in PT since early April with some success, but I still have pain. I'm going to get imaging on Monday to see if I have a tear. That really messes with the DL 1/2 and since I went through a travel provider, I cannot defer. :(
