Tinkerbell 1/2 Marathon (and DL Half)

The DL Half registration opened up yesterday and, as of this morning, it hadn't reached capacity yet. Only the 10k and the kids races were full. I'm wondering if it's the price increases, the ongoing construction, or another factor that has slowed the demand for this event.

I think that there are several factors at play here. Obviously the prices have gone up, but they've also significantly increased the capacity of DLR races in the last year or two, so they may have finally met up with demand. Additionally, the nationwide running boom (from which Disney greatly benefitted) seems to be tapering off so perhaps it's a sign of larger market forces

^ I agree with all of those factors. At some point they were going to have to meet the demand. I was hoping it would be sooner, so the prices would stop going up. Maybe they will keep the cost the same for a while, or reduce them-wishful thinking, I know. I think Disney has a lot of one-and-done racers, so maybe a large percentage of those people have got their "one" in. A good chunk of lifelong runners have left the rundisney races for other races because of the cost.
I didn't even get an email for guaranteed legacy entry this year, after getting it the last 2 years for this race. I got in no problem, but still expected an email.

DH and I signed up for the DL 1/2 on the AP day.

It will be interesting so see how the back stage/in park part of the course will be with all the construction going on. I guess the Tink course will be different too since we usually go on the Thunder Mt Train (RIP).

I no longer seem to be getting any rD emails. I even called to confirm info but, and they have just stopped coming.

The DLP 1/2 registration opens on Tuesday for anybody who is interested. It opens at 5pm Paris time, which I believe is 11am Eastern/8am Pacific. I'm doing it with some friends, but only because we were planning a trip to Oktoberfest around that same time; might as well check it out as long as we're in the neighborhood (may or may not hit the parks as well)
