And is DL1/2 coming up that soon?! I really need to start checking flights!

Check out Soutwest for flights. I got a email yesterday about a big sale so maybe you can find a great deal.

I'm trying to price and get flight from CA to FL for the Princess 1/2 in Feb. SW has not released the dates past early Jan.

I REALLY hope they get decent shirts this year. The shirts they've had the last few years are terrible!

Hope the official merchandise at the expo is better this year too.

Training: I'm just trying to do more short runs during the week and keep the long runs for the weekend.

Hopefully, DL gets them this year.

I train the same way. I think I'm supposed to do 9 this weekend, but I'm not really motivated. We'll see haha

I haven't been extremely motivated this week either. We are suppose to have a heat wave in the Bay Area over the weekend and who wants to run in that.

What bugged me about the DL shirt was how much ink was on it from the design. It was a big full-color design that took up the entire chest area; when I run, I tend to sweat a little (shock of the century, right?), with a large portion of the moisture either originating from my chest, or ending up there. Basically, I end up with the entire printed area stuck to my skin like paper mache, making it just plain impractical to wear it for workouts. One of my female friends said she hadn't even considered that as an issue, since the sports bra helps give an extra layer of separation. I think I've worn it for workouts once or twice, but it's just not a practical design. And since it was black last year, I can't even just wear it on a hot day.

In other news, I saw on the runDisney page yesterday that Tink registration is already up to 51%. That was in the morning, so it's possible that they've gone past that number already. If you're on the fence about it, you might want to start making up your mind!

With all the disney races I've done-11, I've got plenty of the long sleeve shirts. I don't necessarily need another long sleeve shirt either (plus surf city-same long sleeve shirts, and NYC-M), but at least they fit me and I can actually use them. I live in LA and I use them plenty in the winter time, at night or early morning. I just liked the fact they had a color (red) other than white/gray/blue. How hard can it be to make a short sleeve shirt that fits- also, they know ahead of time how many men and women are going to run-why a unisex shirt. Doesn't make sense. The long sleeve comes in women's sizes. The RNR races have short sleeve mens/womens tech shirts, recently in Chicago Marathon short sleeve-fits great! Disney's short sleeve are the worst tech shirts out there.

Tink already 51% and the cap is lower than DL1/2-so it might go pretty fast, especially close to the DL1/2, if not sooner.

I just read GET travel's email about hotel rates etc. Anyway, for those who book through them you get early entry into the expo each day for event merchandise. I think this is very interesting since last year I saw a number of people in line to get to the event merchandise (Dooney Bags). The ones I spoke to were not running, they basically said they were there for the merchandise. There were a lot of runners that didn't make it to the expo in time for the bags and they quickly sold out.

I'm not going through GET Travel, we've had our off property res. for months now at a great price. As for the expo--I like to get there when it opens on Friday.

Wow, they are already advertising for the 2013 race. hehe.

I haven't run in 2 weeks! :( But I walked 11 miles saturday, so I guess at least I got some sort of distance in. I really have to get moving, race day is coming quickly.

In other news, Tink registration is at 94%. If you want to run it, and haven't already registered, do it now, because it will likely be full by the end of the day tomorrow!

Can't believe Tink is almost sold out. I bet they will still hold some spots and offer it at the DL expo.
