A long vacation, followed by a sudden cross-country move makes it really tough to pick back up. Hopefully I'll be able to get some more miles in, and work up to some notable distance. This race sure does a good job of sneaking up on me (it did it last year too)!

It looks like Tink is *only* at 99% now, so there might be a couple spots left open if you act quickly.

If you're going to WDW from the west coast, I would advise against Southwest, since you'll likely have at least 2 interim stops, as they don't do longhaul flights. Last January, I took American to Orlando, and Virgin back, and felt that I got a pretty good deal; I recently booked a flight from DC to southern California and it was not nearly as great a price. It seems like airline prices have been pretty steep for several months, so maybe it's just a change across the board.

Yep, it filled up in the wee hours of Thursday morning. The runDisney page took several hours to be updated, since it filled overnight

They celebrate how you can get your 2 free bags on Southwest, like always. However, way back when all the other airlines were offering 2 free bags, Southwest would allow 3, so they have also cut back. It's still a huge benefit to everybody involved, but not as great as they want you to think.

I really wonder how much time the other airlines waste by having everybody try to bring their luggage in the cabin. Southwest can turn a plane around (unload one flight, load the next, leave the gate) in about 30-35 minutes without breaking a sweat. Other airlines say they start boarding procedures 45-50 minutes ahead of time, and rarely close the doors ontime. If they save time on the ground, they can use the planes for more flights, which means more passengers, which means more money. It only makes sense from a business standpoint, but they're too busy trying to save a penny no matter how much it costs! (rant over)

....maybe I should have stayed on the couch haha

I hover around 1100-1300. I must have to break 1:40 to get in Corral A. The fastest I've done is 1:46:04 for DL. Not sure how much more speed I have in me. :/ Either way it's gonna be fun! I saw a fellow runner today with a DL1/2 shirt training.

Yesterday I did a quick 30 min run in our very hilly neighborhood and I'm a little sore today--but tomorrow will be spent at the nice flat track at the University.

    Happy training everyone !!

Has anyone seen the DL Half participant shirts? Just wondering if they are the same?
