And I would think ... some scenes would be shot in the hours before Disneyland is opened to the public .. or sections shut down to regular guests. And as I saw guests in early 60s garb .. walking around the hub in one of those pics ... you can obviously see the castle in the middle of it's transformation for Christmas, circa 2012, ... So, we know, already, what will have to be digitally replaced in post production.

I seem to remember hearing or reading that he didn't. But, I could be wrong about that.

For audiences other than nitpicky Disney fans, the visual cues of vintage signage, props and clothing for the location photography will signify the era. I recently got to walk around LA Chinatown dressed out as 1940's for some reshooting for Gangster Squad. It was interesting to see how they disguised the more recent and modern elements of the area in addition to the vintage signage, props, cars, etc. They even had a fake Red Car Trolley, which wasn't on the set the day I was there, but, in a nearby parking lot. Ryan Gosling looked good in his 1940's style suit! As to the actors in Saving Mr. Banks, they needn't look exactly like the people they are portraying, or, even necessarily sound just like them. What is important is that they capture the spirit and essence of those people. Otherwise, the performances may come off simply as bad imitations.

The movie is not about Disneyland - I wouldn't expect to see much. 3+ months of shooting the movie, only 2 days of which included shooting in Anaheim.
