MK is stale and moldy. It needs a new people-eating E-Ticket desperately. FLE is a good expansion for families with young kids, but that's just about the only group it's aimed for. The rest of us who don't fit that demographic get screwed over. Again.

The MK isn't the only WDW park with Princesses or sought after Disney characters for autographs. It all has to do what which park is being "overly" promoted and championed, and the others which are not. I'm not trying to make the MK look bad here or any less. I think think it would be benefiticial for WDW management to also be promoting its other gem quality parks. If it is characters that families want then keep the MK the way it is.... but put more characters in the other parks too.

    <<MK is stale and moldy.>>

Perhaps, but it is the freshest and best maintained of all the WDW parks.

    <<It needs a new people-eating E-Ticket desperately.>>

The MK is lucky that is all it needs. DHS needs to reopen the closed half of its park. DAK never finished one entire section of it's park in Beastly Kingdom. And althought plans are now being made for Avatarland, that is still a dream away. There are still large sections of EPCOT unrealized. The 2nd floor of the Imagination Pavalion still remains permantly closed.

I guess my arguement is that althought I argee improvements can be made to the MK, I really don't see how somehow that trumps the needs and requirements of WDW's other parks.

As you said, enough is enough!

I'd agree....if the park didn't already have a few significant expansion plots available.

So you just proved my point.

This is coming from Disney Legal.

TSI is a liability magnet. And Disney Legal most likely wants to shut it down.

It's new for US people, it's an attraction that has been in existence for some time now so any operational kinks have been worked out.

Can't see why Disney jumped so quickly into cloning the ToT in all their countries of existence but haven't thought about using this attraction from Tokyo elsewhere.

For DS in Florida, seems like the Cars Radiator Springs attraction would be a natural for that park.

JTTCOTE uses the same basic ride technology as Test Track, so there is a version of it operating stateside. Given the reputation that system has (given the reliability of TT, JTTCOTE, and DL's former Rocket Rods), I'm still not sure that ALL of the kinks have been worked out yet. The same system is being used for Radiator Springs Racers at DCA, which will open this summer. Knowing the issues they'd likely have with the technology, they started testing the ride long before the track was complete, with a small test section in the outdoor portion of the ride (long before construction had even begun on the indoor portion or building).

I think a huge reason that they haven't brought it over is that it is very expensive to maintain, and is down for about 4-8 weeks every year. The operators of the Tokyo parks are known for their high maintenance standards, but I've heard that even they are disappointed with the cost of running this attraction. No doubt that if it was maintained by Disney, they'd have a much more difficult time keeping it running.

There's one simple reason that we haven't seen (and likely never will see) a US version of Journey: money.

They could transfer Tom Sawyer's Island to the old Discovery Island off Fort Wilderness. Let the new Island be a camping/rendevous area for Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts.
