Even though he'll be 48 this year, when he's at DL he acts 10!!! He'll proudly wear his button, and enjoy the attention it brings him.

This past w/e my cousin, DyGDisney requested "Honorary Citizen" buttons for both of us (I was in the restroom :) They were delighted she even asked about them and had her repeat an "oath [of conduct]" to score them (ROTFL!). We wore them proudly- and we are in our early/mid 30's!

Too old? Never. Hey, if you can't geek out at Disneyland and be a kid again, where can you? That's the whole point!

I never realized that "around" your birthday is sufficient, I always thought it had to be ON the date of your birth. But I learned otherwise at DisneySea a couple weeks ago when we mentioned to a ToT cast member that our young companion was about to turn 3 in a couple of days. She immediately took us aside, and whipped out a birthday sticker. And our little "three" year old enjoyed special attention the entire day (it was awsome). And even got to "sneak" on the flounders fish coaster because it's only for "three and older"...the sticker was like a toddler ID for us! :p

    Have fun!

You just ask for one at City Hall. I'm not sure if they make you say the oath every time to aquire them, LOL. DyGDisney seemed to think the CM was making up "the oath" as he went along but she played along b/c it was all in good fun. They are actual buttons instead of stickers- pretty neat!

I'll be wearing my "I celebrated my birthday at Goofy's Kitchen" button too. Actually, I don't remember what their buttons say, but their balloons say that.

It was the best birthday I've had as an adult (although I don't consider myself an adult in the parks).
