I hear you on the lamb. I've tried it in restaurants, and I've tried cooking it. It does have a gamy (sp?) taste to it and I don't have any plans of eating it again.

I'm with NJFIREGUY - fish is nassssssssssty!

Oh, but I will eat shrimp ON OCCASION (once or twice a year), and Alaskan King crab legs about once every 2 years. But that's the extent of my Stuff That Once Lived in Water eating.

I think when people like something, they can't understand why someone else wouldn't like it. I personally can't understand how people have no desire to go to WDW. I have some friends who have never been there, and will never go there (ok, never say never). It's all a matter of personal choice and opinion.

I have an older friend here at work who goes on a 4 night cruise every year. I personally don't get it. They fly down, get on the cruise ship, and five days later they are home. I personally couldn't go through all of that trouble (driving to the airport, going through security, going through the trouble it takes to get on and off of the ship) just to go for 4 nights.

    Southern fried fish from heaven!

The above was a favorite memory of mine. My sweet Granny died at age 98.

I love to go to San Miguel, but honestly, the food lately leaves a lot to be desired.

Nine Dragons is awesome and always good.

    Coral Reef is delicious.

Wow, she lived a very long time. Now she is making her scrumptious fried fish for the angels. :)

We have one here in the Dallas/Fort Worth area that we love to go to. Since my hubby had lap band, even when we split a meal, we have enough to take home.

Have you ever had REALLY GOOD lamb? Grocery store lamb is almost always gamy. Restaurant lamb can be pretty gamy too depending on the quality and freshness. But if you get really good lamb I think you would find it delicious. I believe you have a couple of Wildfire restaurants in Chicago. Try the lamb chops there... they are the most expensive item on the menu and worth EVERY PENNY!!

Have had it all kinds of ways...a few years ago wentto the house of the parents of one of the girls my oldest played club VB with. He is 1st generation Greek ( both he and his wife still own hosues there) - He is the owner of a very famous greek restaurant in Chicago's Town area.
Well he wentthru this order where they wrap the entire lamb in grape leave s and spices and bury it in the ground for like 3 days, they remove and roast on a spit for hours -- etc...supposed the best way you can eat lamb...

Well it was better than run of the mill lamb, but I still wouldn't order it on a menu...

No, I saw it... I just didn't agree with it.

    ;-)

There have been various things I never liked until I had it prepared in a different way that I liked. The catfish with Creole sauce would be an example of this.

Clams would be another. Way back long time ago; did you ever have clams at a HoJo restaurant? DREADFUL!! I thought I'd never want to see another. Until I had them prepared well, and then I really liked them.

So your statement doesn't always apply. Now some people may have such distaste for a particular item that they NEVER like it no matter how it is prepared. But that is not always the case.

They are both really great places to eat.
My favorite place to eat while at WDW is Biergarten. Telling my hubby that we would eat there twice was the only way I could convince him to go back in October 2006.
