San Angel - Mexico I love Mexican food, and I thought I might be paying primarily for the nice atmosphere, but the food was outstanding as well. I plan to try others in upcoming visits.

I was just reminded of one this past weekend, asparagus. My mom made it for dinner. She is a good cook, not as good as my dad, but good. For some reason she feels the need to cook all the life out of asparagus. I wouldn't be surprised if she ran it over with the car before serving it. Because of that I went years without eating it until I decided to try cooking it myself (Little asparagus rafts, drizzled in some olive oil, sprinkled with sesame seeds, and grilled). Now they are my favorite veggie.
