Mollysmom, we're going to test how well your fairy dust really works! hehe I would LOVE to be there when you are because after all this time (and many of laugh) I would love to meet you. Unfortunately, my daughter starts high school that week!

The good news is that as long as I don't have any more seizures and the meds work, I qualify to get my license back on August 14th! YAY! Just in the nick of time for my daughter to start school again. You so know I will be waiting for DMV's doors to open the morning I have that hot little paperwork in my hands!

We stayed a night at the HoJo last year at the end of July, so I am thinking Willie will come thru for ya!! I will definetly keep my fingers crossed for you - to get that great rate AND for good health!!!

We stayed the following two nights at the GCH with AP Night rates. Where the heck are those darn AP Night rates this year??? It was easier to get good rates during the 50th Anniversary than it is now!

Anyway my point is that the change over was flawless as it is the exact same medication just in a different form so I hope this may ease your mind momof4boys. To everyone affected by epilepsy my thoughts are with you all.

Wow, I never realized just how common epilepsy was. The doc gave me a lot of statistics and everything, but look how small the world got right here on Laughingplace as to the people diagnosed with it!

Tandelothien thanks for giving your input and easing momof4boys' mind! She deserves a great cruise and I'm glad you've been able to put her mind a bit to rest!!

Many thanks to everyone for your well wishes, prayers, and good thoughts!

My sister is just gonna have to hang her head out the window like she always did when we were kids!

No need to worry about me at the Cove Bar...I have MANY years of 'rita drinkin' under my belt, and I'm within walking distance of the hotel.

He started seizing and I was trying to turn him on his side, while I was also trying to reach my other arm down to the other end of the tub to let the water out. (It's not easy for me to hold a 6' 1" 220 lb. guy with one arm!) Meanwhile, I'm screaming for help at the top of my lungs and the only person that could hear me was my other son that has Autism. (Everyone else was upstairs.) I told my DS to call 911 and he was SOOOOO excited! "I can call 911? Really?" Yes, Mark, really. Hurry! I could hear him saying "Matt is having a seizure and Mom told me to call you." "In the bathtub" "At my house" (I could imagine the questions at the other end of the line...) Within minutes my tiny bathroom was filled with more men in uniform!
(I really think that the reason he got pneumonia was that they took him out naked in a stretcher when it was about 7 degrees below zero!)

Really?! Wow, now that is bad. You would think common sense alone would tell the paramedics to bundle him up! That must have been really scary for you. I am so sorry that you have to go through that.

It is funny that you mentioned the water issues because I was told specifically not to go swimming, but they never said anything about baths.

I guess I'll have a good tan by the end of the summer- but the house will stay a wreck! Oh well, I see that as a perk!

Actually being cold doesn't make you sick but it isn't very fun to be freezing. However, I am surprised they didn't give him a blanket to prevent shock.

My boyfriend had seizures when he was younger. Although they never found the exact cause it was most likely overexertion. However, eventually grew out of it and hasn't had one in over ten years. I hope the same luck for you!

Cleaning? What is that anymore? j/k Actually, I am usually picking up after everyone constantly, but I have really had to let that slide a bit. The good news is that my DD has really been great about pitching in.

    >>> Since you are feeling better - <<<

Well, this is a debately subject! LOL One minute I will be fine and the next can be awful. The meds are wreaking havoc with my system, but I guess it just takes time to get used to them.

As far as the price goes -- I haven't heard back yet. I am constantly checking my email, but no response yet! :(

    >>> And also drowning becomes a huge risk in a pool.<<<

Yeah, that is what my doc said. They're only restricting it temporarily until they make sure the meds are in place, but they said in the future I will always have to go swimming with someone else who is strong enough to pull me out of the pool if there is a problem.
