I would hate to have to give it up- hopefully we've covered the seizure risks in the pool.

Our church has a big pool party at the big public pool every summer. He's already talking about jumping off the diving board. I haven't had the heart to tell him yet that isn't going to happen. Or that he can't use the pool or water slide on the cruise.

Life is so unfair- we already have to limit so much from him because of his heart. But I keep telling myself, things could be worse.

When I have to get out to go to work or cook dinner or even to run to the restroom, I have to get someone to come and keep watch, preferably in the pool! These things come on so fast!
Today is my day to call Hojos and ask about any new discounts, such as the ent. rate. Every Friday, like clock work, I call to see if anything less expensive is available. I wonder if they have caller ID? lol We stay for 2 weeks every summer, if the price doesn't go down, I have to knock some days off. (I haven't got a flight yet, either. So, I can change the dates.) It's the two weeks that get me through the year! (If I don't post, it means no good news...)

In the meantime, I had to make some sort of reservation. I checked out all the prices:

    Hojos - $134.00
    Candy Cane - $134.00 free breakfast/shuttle
Embassy Suites - $139.00 free breakfast

Hubby said for the almost the same rate we might as well stay at Embassy, however, I was leaning towards Candy Cane so if I didn't feel well I could hop the shuttle back to the hotel room so they could stay in the park. My hubby then said THAT wasn't an issue because if I didn't feel well we were ALL going back to the room. *sigh* I told him that was what cell phones were for, but he wasn't going for it.

At least we have some kind of reservation. I was really hoping Willie might come through for us. This little "adventure" of mine just shot our vacation budget all to pieces!

I just had another disappointment. Southwest Ding finally had a great offer from Philly to LA, the dates listed were
like the entire month of Aug. Unfortunately, nothing was available for any of the dates I tried.

For the cost difference we get a hot meal in the morning, which would easily cost us that or more in the park. LOL, plus I love room service.

hehehe--- even if it is just giving my husband my breakfast order along with puppy dog eyes and a pouty look that says, "I'm hungry."

    Called for rates again today.

Queen Double Beds are at $129 a night. The gentleman in in-house reservations said it wasn't likely the $54 rate would be available for the summer.

I'll still keep checking back and post here if successful. I believe Tinkerbell is going to do the same.

LOL! My DH knows that look too well. It kills me how he can be ready to walk out the door in 2 minutes while I am still thinking about getting ready!

I'm sorry your trip was cancelled :( This may sound weird but in a way you had really good timing! You could have had the seizure while on vacation, now you get to plan another trip. I hope you get your good rates, if not at least you can have "room service breakfast" :)

Thanks for the good wishes amazedncal2. And you are right, better it happened BEFORE we got down there! That would have been horrible!

With that said, I truly hope you get to make up for this sudden change of events by having a great time when you get to make it later this summer! I hope to be there myself as well sometime before the summer ends - heck before this month ends! :p
