But, as you noted, only "Disneyland" -- meaning "Disneyland Resort" -- was mentioned in the commercial. However, the ad did point out the "park hopper" option for ticket-buying guests, so I'd guess that was the DisCo's way of covering themselves ("CYA") if people believed the new attraction was in Disneyland and became indignant at the last moment when they discovered "Mania" was in the other park across the Esplanade. Incidentally, as I was going through the Buzz Lightyear ride in Tomorrowland a few weeks ago, it struck me that it will take a lot more than a new "Toy Story" attraction in Paradise Pier to give some punch and synergy to DCA. In other words, the DisCo had better start ramping up DCA's long overdue extreme makeover. The friends (a couple and their two young kids) I took to Disneyland not long ago, while they had the advantage of buying the two-for-one ticket deal ($66.00), expressed no interest in returning to Anaheim to visit DCA. This surprised me since they aren't Disney fans and don't keep up on the latest news about theme parks in general. So they haven't been keeping up on the negative press and publicity about the park since 2001. That's why I thought their natural curiosity (they've never been to DCA before) and desire to get the full benefit of a free offer would have made them proclaim "yes, we want to return to see the other park!" But they instead said that DCA, based on what they're able to see from outside the park (the ferris wheel, the coaster, the Mailboomer tower), did not interest them. Again, the DisCo had better get Ty Pennington into DCA, accompanied with a lot of bulldozers, and start overhauling the place. The mistakes of the past have been festering now for over 7 years.

Judging from what you can from of DL from the outside (which is basically nothing) how could one possibly know how fantastic that park really is? People's logic never ceases to amaze me.

She even referred to it as Toy Story Mania. She also made it seem like you can't go to DL without vacation packages (lol, she must have forgotten about the locals). One of the DJs, Baltazar, mentioned the APs, and Carmen responded that there are 4 different types to meet your needs. They're having a contest where you can win a vacation to DL... http://www.movin997.com/pages/...9961.php Btw, I think they were at DL when Enchanted premiere. The CM there who was being interviewed...or maybe it was an animator who was being interviewed, was talking about the, yawn, magic of the live-action/animated films like Mary Poppins...and Pete's Dragon...and Who Framed Roger Rabbit...hmmm, I could have sworn they're missing a few.
