If you a local NOT familiar with the parks you probably don't even know you can buy a one park, one day ticket. Disneyland doesn't make it extreamly convienent to buy one day one park tickets. I wonder how many they even sell. You can't buy one day one park ticket online or at the Disney Store. You can only get them at the booths. I can't picture the ticket booths in my head, but I'm not sure they even advertise a one day one park ticket on their sign. They may, but I can't remember.

Originally Posted By Park Hopper >>I love how the same people, look for every detail to try and slam Disney on.<< That's right. I never miss an opportunity to slam Disney. I wake up every morning hoping they'll make some stupid bludner so I can rush to the internet and compalin about it. That's all I live for. That ad clearly implies that Toy Story Mania is in Disneyland Park. If you ask me, at this point the locals know the difference between Disneyland Park and DCA. If the ad clearly stated that the ride was in DCA, they wouldn't get near the number of folks trundling down the 5 to try the new ride. That's what I think the ad is about, not simplicity in communication, but misdirection pure and simple.

But when I get there, I discover that the new ride is actually in the Crappiest Place on Earth. So, unless I want to heap disappointment on the kids I’m stuck with one of two options. I either buy a full day ticket to a park I detest or I can shell out the extra dough for park hoppers for my entire family. Either option is going to make me a little pissed off. I know the scenario may seem far fetched to some of you, but I can guarantee you it will happen, probably quite frequently.

Seriously. But that said, I don't know that's the majority of people. And I don't know that a majority of locals would simply jump in the car on a whim as you suggest based on the commercial for this ride. It just doesn't work that way. If it were a massive E-ticket thrill ride, perhaps. But even in these ads, it's clear that this isn't that sort of ride. Are they going to be bugged that they can't ride Pirates and Toy Story in the same park? Maybe. But that's going to happen anytime you have two separate parks. It becomes about choices. And I think calling this "bait & switch" is completely over the top.
