This is a gigantic point - that Disney in its general publicity design will point you to a general vacation area, but not to a specific park. And it's the same marketeers designing WDW commercials as DL's spots. No conspiracy, no attempt to hide anything. It's just the way they do it.

And after several hours of fruitless searching, they'll be starving. See, it's all a scam to sell turkey legs. Disney is evil.

On a similar note, I remember going to Woolworth as a kid & wondering where the nice lady from the commercials was.

And yet another gap in my DisKnowledge!
Although I've spent way more time at Disneyland than the normal civilian, that they sell turkey legs is something I'd never known until I read it on this site!

Let's analyze this commercial the Darkbeer way.

By looking at this commercial literally, an old dude is going to pull up to my neighborhood in a bus, dance for me, and then drive me to Magic Mountain and go on rides with me.

I am sure somebody thought that's what the commercial meant right?

I had to set her straight about it that it is really in DCA.

It's not about your life revolving about Disney it is deciding whose responsibility it is to have research done before any trip.

I refuse to believe in this day and age someone is going to drop whatever they are doing, jump in a car and go to Disneyland oblivious of park hours/location of the park/ reading a press release. All which clearly state Toy Story Mania is in DCA.

Let's go back to Kevin Yee for a second, he went on a cruise where he never read that you needed nice clothing to dine in the dining room. Is it Disney's fault because they didnt put in their advertising that he had to bring nice clothing? Or is it his fault for not doing some basic planning?

With the economy the way it is nowadays, I don't see many people throwing money out there without doing prior planning, even just a few minutes worth.

I haven't read Kevin Yee's article about a cruise .. but in defense I will say that we have grown into a much more casual society ... compared to a "Debra Kerr" and a "Cary Grant" who would dress up on an ocean voyage in the 50s .. and earlier.

I consider that an "over sight".

I don't know if it's fair to compare one's ocean voyage experience - Something only so many people can do ......

Where a trip to the most well known theme park for over 50 years .. that most people in the US ARE familiar with ... and visit -
More so than a "Love Boat" cruise at several thousand dollars a pop!
