I don't see why that is such a problem.

But we know that it is a problem.

It's a stigma that WILL go on for the foreseeable future ... the general public sees DCA as a crappy park.

    Period!

You could always go to Tokyo Disneyland. Nothing geographically misleading there. ;-)

G: Well where do I find Finding Nemo?
    CM: That's in Disneyland Park.
G: What about that Tower of Terror ride I've heard about?
CM: It's in the Disneyland Resort.

    Come on!

You know if Disney T-R-U-L-Y wanted to educate the world that the Anaheim property is a "resort" (meaning more than one park) ... those letters would be a heck of a lot more prevalent .. like the font size of the letters of "Disneyland"!

    It's deceiving!

What does it say when the size of the "Disneyland" letters are one size ...
and the "resort" size several sizes smaller?

It says that is how the Graphis designers designed that particular graphic.

I am sure 95% of people in So. Cal have heard of DCA, and if they haven't, then they must not go to Disneyland.

When are you driving on the 5? 65mph? Usually the traffic is crawling, and you have plenty of time to read not only the word "Resort" on a billboard, but the comics section of the newspaper as well.

Disney's California Adventure Park | Toy Story Mania!

So yeah, all those who claim Disney is false advertising, are full of it. All you have to do is a simple google search to find out which park it is at.

Because there are no theories of conspiracy in Florida, while everyone knows that Disney is deeply ashamed of DCA, doesn't want anyone to visit there, and will do everything in their power to convince the public that DCA doesn't exist.

    Sarcastic wink ;)

    >>Another example of my distaste for Jay Rasulo is the marketing campaign featuring the name of the "Toy Story Midway Mania" ride as it is known in WDW's Disney's Hollywood Studios...

Not to mention the billboards all around the Southland that feature misleading wording which makes it appear as if the attraction is in Disneyland. There are some signs actually at the Resort with DCA listed(in very, very small print, btw), but most guest tend to not pay that much attention to banners and displays. Add to this the commercial that is running on television which has the Toy Story characters walking down Main Street and I can tell we're going to have some angry guest this summer that buy a ticket to DL and wind up not being happy they can't ride the new attraction they saw advertised...

    Thanks Jay. Thanks a lot.<<

You realize you repeated your advice to google the attration in about six different posts? If that isn't grinding it into the dirt, I don't know what is.
