Not only that a lot of attractions would be long gone and replaced by now because they wouldn't be generating enough revenue to keep them open.

Agreed. But, at least when Disney went to replace them, they would have an incentive to out-do the last attraction there so they could charge more to ride it, and thus increase profits.

Maybe then we wouldn't have seen things like Imagination 2.0 replacing the far superior Journey into Imagination at EPCOT. (Of course, the entire EPCOT Center concept didn't really need individual attraction tickets because of the company sponsered pavilions, but you get the idea.)

It was EPCOT that ultimately led to the demise of the ticket books. With their huge capacity and long ride length most of EPCOT Center's attractions were considered E tickets. With virtually no A, B, or C ticket rides in the park there was no way to have transferable admissions media between it and the Magic Kingdom (I recall them experimenting with classless tickets at one point) without setting POP as the standard. DL of course followed suit with the same admissions system at around the same time.

IMDB.com (Internet Movie Database) has posters that fall under that term, for example. They dissect their favorite films to death - especially if said films are based on comic books. LOL ;-)
