OK ... you asked for it ... watch the Spirit take this pitch outta the park.

<<Actually we lean just as much to ball caps here in Texas as we do to cowboy hats. I wear neither because I still have a full head of hair, and my teeth have crowns on them.>>

Teeth??! You actually have teeth?! Wow!

I didn't know that about either of you!

Interesting. Still have loads of family there. Haven't been back in years though ... guess I should go see things now that the Big Dig is done!

But I'd rather go to a Disney park ... or a national park ... or Europe ...or Alaska ... or ... you get the point!

    Same here.

Wow, it HAS been a while.

The big dig, now that it's done, doesn't seem all that different from before honestly. Getting to Logan is a bit easier. Otherwise, meh.

Should have been there when they were building it...what a mess!

So, where from? I was born in Quincy, raised in Medford, Reading and Braintree (yeah, we moved a lot lol)...I just say "Boston" cause it's easier.

Really? I imagine entering the city looks a whole lot different without that hunking, rotting 93 artery in the sky. Haven't they made parks and green-belt where they buried the highway?

I was. Many times. I just haven't been back in about 5 years now.

Born in Woburn, raised in Newton (amongst other locales) before leaving for paradise. An aunt lived in Braintree when I was very young. I still remember a trauma there when she was dog-sitting and lost one of my beloved beagles, who I thought was a goner but managed to find her way back.

And Reading? There was an Italian joint we'd go to that my grandmother loved ... Kitty's. I think that was in Reading or thereabouts.

    Been a longtime.

No. But I do haunt the Gables quite a bit. Lovely part of the metro Miami area.

I could be her husband, however, if she has money and is willing to pay for my Disney 'habit'. What do you think?

93 was still there in all it's glory (you're talking NORTH of Boston right?) when I was there last year. ;)

I suppose some things are a bit nicer, the getting around is definitely a bit smoother, but overall it seems pretty much the same to me. *sigh*

Here's a before and after pic that turned out quite nice though (93 goes up and out from there though, same double decker monstrosity it ever was).

Woburn, eh. Small world. I have an aunt who lives there. :)

HEY! Branson is not primarily a "redneck" hangout...it's an OLD PEOPLE hangout (Many of whom just so happen to be old rednecks...)

    Really?

I had an aunt who lived there (in a huge house) when I was very young (like 2-3) ... I also recall going to see movies there when I was a kid.
