I'm an anti tree huger when in comes to getting the Disney parks to look right. If they need to rip out trees/plants/overgrowth, I'm all for it in most cases. That said, it would be nice to see them find a nice balance between trees and no trees, especially when they have areas that are painfully bare.

The hub is now one of the ugliest areas in the MK now, and the castle looks very, very wrong with absolutely nothing around it.

Those could have stayed, if they were kept the right size, I guess.

You have the 'correct' one, while Young Explorer probably never met a tree he wouldn't like to take a chainsaw to. A great many fans have come to expect Cindy's Castle as some hulking giant plaything at the end of Main Street, instead of the slow, dramatic reveal that was the case in the 80s and 90s. Of course, since there isn't much worth seeing or doing on Main Street you might say Phil Holmes and crew are just trying to deflect your attention away ... of course that doesn't 'splain the giant World of Disney SuperStore along one side of MSUSA, but ...

Yeah, yeah, slow and dramatic is the way to go for the castle. ....and other things. It's a problem, I recognize that, but, MK has a lot more problems that how her shrubs are trimmed.

When they removed the hub trees, it wasn't "green" to relocate the trees... so they turned the mature trees into mulch instead.
