Normally they give 12 coupons for free items, so you get about $12 worth of stuff for $1. The coupons say for children 12 and under, but no one ever asks me where the kids are! :) (They have free coupons for fries, soda, ice cream cones and cookies, ususally. The exp. date normally states 12/31. So, if anyone is going before 12/31, stop at your local McDonald's and pick up a few books. (We used them for ice cream on the way back to Hojo's almost every night.)
Th Crystal Light comment reminded me of the new Kool Aid single packs that they sell now. We brought them along to DL this summer and got cups, ice and water at Rancho Di Zocala (sp?) and the boys had a nice cold (almost free!) beverage.
So, all I did was copy everyone else's ideas...I will have to think of some original ones!

(Basically, you just click on the part of the email that says "Click here for 5 points") Then, if you are interested in any of the offers, you get points for signing up or purchasing things that you may be planning to buy anyway. (For instance, when I needed a camera, I bought one through Overstock.com. They were giving 10 points for every dollar spent through Mypoints and I was able to accumulate about 1500 points from that offer.) Before we went to DL this summer, I cashed in 7000 points and was able to get $50 in gift cards for the Rainforest Cafe'.
If you sign up through a friend's invitation, they get 200 points for referring you. So, I'm always trying to get people to join!
They even give 2 points per $ spent at Ebay, but that's one place I always forget to go through Mypoints first! I lose a lot of points that way, too! (I'm always buying [Disney!] items on Ebay!)
If you're interested you can check them out at Mypoints.com.

Those books should be on sale soon, if they aren't already. I know our McDonald's sells out of them pretty fast!

If you over buy booklets , keep them for another CA trip!

Not every Mcdonald's location carries the treat books... I did buy some at the McDonald's inside of John Wayne (SNA) airport on one of my trips. Otherwise check ebay or coupon trading boards.
I know they put them out with each major holiday season: Back to School, Halloween, Christmas, Easter/Spring

I never tried using them at Burger Invasion/Mcdonald's in DCA. Might try that on my December trip :)

I have the "It's A Small World", a nice intro to DL, I used it to show my boys what the park was like before our first trip (they were 7 and 3 at the time).
Might order the Happy Haunting one, new to me.

Well, I received my Entertainment 07 book today. That was actually a good thing.

The UGH is because the same day I received it the REALTOR magazine came out and offered a special promo for buying them at a 50% discount! UGH! *grumbles*

So, if you are a realtor, or have a friend that is a realtor, etc., ASK THEM to purchase your copy for you! It will save you lots of $$$.
