ROFLMAO - don't ask that question actually ON Facebook as I did. Whew boy. But yeah, I don't get it either.

The other day some guy requested to be friends and in his message he asked if I was the Candice that used to work at AAA. I had no clue who he was and had to ask someone else I used to work with at AAA who he was. Turns out we worked together all the time and were even on a committee together at one point. I had totally forgotten about him, oops!
    Facebook, I love it so.

I also got started on Farm Town. :)

Except for Carl and quite a large # of the LPers, I've met everyone I have on facebook at least once live & in person. LPers are the only ones that I will automatically add - after all, you can never have too many axe murderers as friends!

Since I do put a lot of pictures and stuff on my kids, I try and be a little pickier on just who is my friend on FB.

I am addicted to Farm Town and Bejeweled Blitz. I also have a SuperPoke pet and play lots of Word Twist. Farkle is also fun.

The big difference between on-line and off-line friendships is that there are no companionable silences on-line.

The thing is that my very best off-line friends are people I can be silent with. We may take a hike, or have a meal, or watch TV, together, saying very little. And I really enjoy that.

There's no real on-line equivalent to that, so far as I can tell.

So, is it just me? Or have I stumbled onto something significant here?

I like FB to see what people are up to, share some of my thoughts and see what reactions come back. take some quizes. Follow the white house. Lobby and campaign on issues. Share photos. Play games. I do like it very much. And it makes it sooo much easier to stay in touch.
