And which local radio talk show host / college dropout told you this?

Which of "my" progressive policies are you referring to? The only policy I've stated or implied in this thread is that eligible citizens should be able to vote without undue hindrance. I would think that that would be a bipartisan goal, unless perhaps a certain group realizes that it's on the losing side of the democratic process and needs to rig the system in order to win.

Voter fraud in the USA is so EASY that it's a joke. But we don't seem to care.

Oh please. I could register my dog to vote. And we know just how hard our FedGov enforces laws it doesn't care about.

But would your dog appear on election day and cast a ballot?

Generally speaking, election matters are handled at the state and local level. It would be up to them to prosecute individual cases of voter fraud. So federal apathy has nothing to do with it.

He could vote the way I do, via mail.

Sure, that's why we're up to our eyeballs in illegals. The only reason they've stopped coming is because there are no jobs.

Illegal immigration is undoubtedly a huge issue. Non-citizens voting, not so much. They are totally separate issues in that one is enormous, and the other occurs so rarely that the current system in place can be deemed good enough.

The issue is ineligible people voting. Subtly the discussion gets switched to false voter registrations (such as someone's dog) or illegal immigration in general.

Our nation has no shortage of large problems. People ineligible to vote actually casting ballots isn't even a small issue - it's a non-issue.

Heck I'll humor you by answering that totally foolish question if it will make you feel better. The answer, of course, is no! When there comes a time that an illegal is willing to walk into a public forum such as a polling place and take the chance of exposing themselves to deportation, I will start to concern myself over it. There are many issues with illegals, however, voting isn't one of them.

It seems they have more rights than most people who were born here legally...
