Really, liberals in the military are a trip to me. I don't get it.

It goes with liberal christians who vote democrat. This makes no sense either.

We know you don't get it but we've explained it approximately 15 billion times.

If you think for a second that my goal, or my husband's, in voting for Kerry was to get more quality time with my husband then you're starting on a fautly premise right there. My husband is a resident and the last time I checked he was working upwards of 75 hours a week even when he's not deployed - so time with my husband is not a reason to vote for anyone. Although you may not like to see it or admit it, Kerry is not an enemy to the military. It is anyone's right and responsibility in this country to voice disagreement and dissention. The stories about the fake purple hearts, etc. and the whole swift boat maneuver was effective in discrediting Kerry but it was shaky at best considering the sources. I feel like I'm banging my head against a wall - and that's effectively what's happening - because I get that you don't understand why there are liberals in the military. I get that you don't understand how military service members can question the mission and decisions made regarding Iraq. I get that you believe that liberals are the downfall of this country and that they don't make any sense. I feel the same way about conservatives. It's called an opinion. I don't know what else to say, except that it's clear that you think that anyone who doesn't believe the exact things you do is a threat to this country and hates America. Im my opinion, people who differ from me ideologically are sometimes annoying and often frustrating but I have to get past it and understand that it's their belief system - hardly anything I could say would change it. So why go around insulting people and their beliefs? My husband serves in the military that fights to preserve our right to believe anything we want. Kerry wouldn't have changed that. The President, although powerful, isn't THAT powerful. I don't hate America. I love America and her military. I hate intolerance, closed-mindedness and sweeping generalizations. THAT'S what I hate.

He told me that most military people he knew voted for George in 2000 but less in 2004 as they lost confidence in him. The biggest reason is the cutbacks to the military as well as the secrecy and non disclosure. He also said everyone he knew just really did NOT personally like Kerry. This guy was a seal, special forces, etc. He really is something and the stories he told> whoaaa. Now he's working with Junvenile Deliquents in Brewster Mass and he says the service did give him quite the resume.
The biggest point is that we have to get the heck out of there NOW and let them kill each other. It's ridiculous.

I wholeheartedly accept your OPINION of Kerry as a disingenuous person. I, for one, would never invite Bush to anything for similar reasons. Do I think he hates America and is just in the Presidency to make more money in oil and to make his daddy happy? Absolutely not. I think he loves America and is probably trying to lead in the best manner he can. My problem is with his results, not his intention.

Your opinion is just as valid as mine, that's the beauty of America I guess.

Wow, I'm glad you were kidding. I thought for a second he had the same handicap that you have - a shorter left leg that forces you to keep going around in right-handed circles. :)

Not that you asked, but my 1 year old is walking and almost-running and getting into everything she can get her hands on.

Actually, she is way to smart to fall for that crazy liberal stuff. in fact, my kids have my approval to put the smack down on any teacher who tries to push a bunch of liberal nonsense like that dude in Colorado last week who told the class Bush was like Hitler.

You wouldn't him over to your place and that's exactly proof that God made us all different.
I'll tell you--I would tell George the real deal over in Iraq as the seal just told me. There would be no "telling him what he wants to hear" from me.

You said to smack down, which means to hit someone. You can change the meaning all you want, which is something your ideological brethren love to do, but you should have said what you mean.
