I love Toontown, but it could really use a bit of a makeover. Keep Roger Rabbit, the Mickey & Minnie houses. Rip out the rest and redo. I'd almost prefer this to a Tomorrowland redo.

The Jungle Cruise is fine as is, and they must remove all new "improvements" for IASW's 50th the following year. (Technically opened in D-land in '66.)

Originally Posted By tashajilek " But whoever decided to get rid of Toad for it had pooh for brains..." LOL, just like Snow white they probably could have both.

Thus many bad decisions would be, ahem, rescinded without anyone losing face over it.

I happen to know who it is, but have promised to keep it to myself. As far as why they are emulating Al's writing style (which I happen to enjoy), I wasn't told the reason, but, my guess is they are simply trying to maintain some continuity, and, are perhaps doing so in an attempt to be an encouragement to Al right now since the column was his baby. I really doubt they think they are fooling anybody. As to the criticisms of spelling and grammar errors, the person doing the writing has a LOT on their plate. How they do everything they do, I cannot fathom. So, if there are some mistakes, I don't feel it's a big deal. And, these are blogs written by volunteers, not professional newspaper articles.

Perhaps you could volunteer to give the columns at least one shot at proof-reading. It sure seems like many well-read websites can't seem to find an extra set of eyes to catch obvious errors. I imagine they would say that it would impact their timeliness, but I would welcome the brief delay if it cut back on even simple typos.

More to the point, I have my hands more than full in the present as a volunteer historian with the NPS doing research work and documentation on Paramount Ranch. I have to squeeze in time to visit the parks once in awhile, too!
