While there have been some minor additions to attempt to make up for the losses (Goofy's 'playground'), overall it's a shell of what it used to be As for Darkwing Duck, that's got to be one of the silliest ideas I've heard in a very long time. With the current push for name recognition and interactivity, it would simply never happen; I'm still surprised that we have the roller coaster named for Gadget Hackwrench! I don't suspect we'll see any additions based on a TV series from the early 90's any time soon

Leave the heck alone.

I've always been too old to do those things and never go to the parks with kids, so for me Toon Town has always been a waste of space, just like Amanda Bynes. I do like Roger Rabbit though.

Which was my point. I know exactly who Darkwing Duck is, because I was working master control at a TV station that aired it during its heyday. I guarantee you, I've seen those episodes more times than you have. (If not, get help.) But as a property worth basing an attraction on, it might as well be Lambert the Sheepish Lion. The general public, other than a very limited age range, does not know or care who Darkwing Duck is. (And with that, I have set into motion the gears on a brand new, very bad low-budget CGI movie, haven't I. Oops, sorry, world.)

Lambert the Sheepish Lion is updated for the 21st century (nothing more than a shameless knock-off of Alex in Madagascar, voiced by Justin Bieber) and teams up with Darkwing Duck (voiced by Stephen Colbert) and Launchpad McQuack (voiced by Will Farrell) to save Gosalyn (Emma Stone) from the evil clutches of Negaduck (Michael Shannon). In the original draft, Lambert's home is destroyed by climate change but Disney axes that as too controversial, so instead he's shipped to America as part of a hilarious mixup when a family thinks they're getting a baby lamb as a pet and out pops a not-so ferocious lion! He creates havoc at a birthday party and runs off, crashing into a dejected Drake Mallard, long since forced into retirement for reasons not yet clear (but involving his estranged niece and her boyfriend, actually a cleverly disguised Negaduck). The new friends soon learn that Gosalyn is in danger (actually a clever ruse by Negaduck) and call upon Drake's old pal Launchpad (now pilot of Airforce One) to help them rescue her. Their plans are thwarted and they're all imprisoned while Negaduck takes over the world. But Gosalyn, now realizing the truth and error of her ways, frees them and they barely manage to save the day in a climactic battle in the heart of St. Canard. This will be followed up by characters in Disney parks and an all-new Darkwing Duck ride. Thanks a lot, mawnck.

Bill Peet's writing, Jack Hannah's direction and Sterling Holloway's narration - what isn't to love? Perhaps one day they will make me happy and create two Lambert plushes - one of him as a cub and another as an adult. Boy do I need to get a life.......

Disneyland's version certainly hasn't been well-maintained either - it is always sad when I walked about Tokyo's version and everything looks so bright and clean and then go to DL's version with the cracked and flaking paint. TDL came up with a great fix for the decision to shutter Goofy's House - Goofy's Paint 'n' Play House is a lot of fun.

So, Mickey's house and Minnie's house along with Roger Rabbit ride stay. Everything else must go. And that goes for that stupid Jolly Trolley thing that disappeared years ago. Just a footnote: today, June 9th is Donald Ducks birthday. Happy birthday Donald! And oh yes.....lighten up on DW! It was and still is a fun cartoon. Don't you all get it? DARK rides...DARKwing? That's all it is. Have fun kiddies
