    now trust me I realize the difficulty of what they do and the skills they ( and the flight crew ) have - but unless you're comparing a commercial airline pilots salary to a mahor league BB player or CEO - both sets that are grossly overpaid - and everyone here is underpaid comparatively for what we do -- I'm not seeing any tag days for pilots.

    one of my good friends is a retired pilot - no complaints from him - we're about the same age- he's been retired for 6 years.

    I fully understand that. This still doesn't address my comment, which was:

    <<< In what situation other than a water ditching would you need to use the aft slides as rafts? I can't think of any. If there aren't any others, then counting the aft slides as part of the raft capacity seems inappropriate. >>>

    No they are not. But FA's are. My mistake in implying pilots make bad paychecks.
