You either have to have proof of immunization, or a letter from the doctor stating WHY the child hasn't been immunized (such as an underlying medical condition or something). Most public schools won't accept the "I just chose my child to not be vaccinated" as an excuse.

He was concerned that because the childs immunity to diseases wasn't developed with the immunizations that it might leave him at a higher risk rate for all diseases...

And when I was in Africa, I saw first hand the ravages of TB and Typhoid. So we did not hesitate to immunise our kids (just as Sarah and I have been immunised). It wsa worth the risk. I do sometimes wonder if Mikey is showing signs of autism, but even if he was, it was worth it to immunise.

He only bases his information on statistics and studies. That said he has always told me that the importance of vaccination always out weighs any possible risks. And that there is no real link between vaccinations and autism. Vaccinations are extremely important to ones health and literally can be the difference between life and death.
