It makes lonely people feel lonelier and puts pressure on couples to do something romantic. And heaven forbid they get the "level" wrong and it's too much or not enough for the other person. Plus there's just too much pink and too many hearts all over the place for my tom-boy sensibility. (The flowers and chocolate are fine, they are welcome ANY time of year). I usually do my taxes on Feb 14, but since I lived in 2 states last year I'll have good old H&R Block do them for me. So now I've got nothing special to do tonight.

This morning at 2:30, the very SECOND he stepped into the shower, I got up - naked with socks (figured ya'll would appreciate THAT visual - NOT! ;-) and grabbed the bear and the card and ran out of the bedroom, turned off the alarm, ran to the garage and put them on the dashboard of his truck, then ran back inside, re-set the alarm and jumped into bed so he wouldn't suspect anything. *L* After getting ready, he kissed me goodbye and I said, "Happy Valentine's Day." He said, "That's tonight, right?" I said, "Oh, sure!" ;-) He called from the truck before leaving the garage and opened the card while I listened... We had a good laugh together (he really loves Barry White) and off he went! When I get home, he'll probably have flowers for me from the Bellagio in-house floral department (same people who do the incredible decorations in their Conservatory - they do them up special for the employees for every holiday) and a card. He's getting more 'stuff' (not mentioned here, because the sneak is probably reading this... *LOL*) Tonight we're going to a cool, gangster-style Italian restaurant - dark and romantic, with good 'standards' playing by Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra - called "Capo's." Happy Valentine's Day everyone!!

I bought him a very nice gift, and as I was leaving this morning, I saw a very girly pink wrapped box with pretty bows with my name on the card. I can't wait to open iy later today. We do not do dinner out on V-day anymore...tried it a few times, not worth the hassle, so we are going to Palm Springs this weekend! YEAH! Oh, and we usually have a laugh in honor of the anniversary of me locking my keys in my car behind his car in a tandem parking situation on our first Valentine's Day. We missed dinner after waiting hours for the key guy.
