Before the playoffs started, I didn't think the Blackhawks deserved to be in at all, defending Cup champs or not. They backed in when Minnesota beat Dallas, but, we'll take it. It took the Hawks two and a half games to realize that even with losing eight players from last year's team, they could still hang with the Canucks in the playoffs. Vancouver has resorted to the same self-destructive behavior that doomed them against Chicago the last two years. The Hawks will make history if they take this series, so I have no illusions about a deep run for them. Nonetheless, since I have no respect for the Canucks as a team, what with their unsportsmanlike play, it's been fun watching them implode and cry about the officials the last two games. If Vancouver wins this series, whoever they play next round will annihilate them. As Toews has said, the Hawks have exposed them for who they really are.
