Oh, and TINK, vbdad isn't the kind of guy to just read things and spout them off w/o knowing what he's talking about. He stated that he's played at a high level...that should be enough cred to stop telling him he has no idea about hockey.

Gretzky was a Great Hockey Player but could not understand how to coach the game...Likes of Don Cherry,
Howie Meeker, Jacgue Lemaire, John Torterelli , Roger Neilson, Scotty Bowman , Punch Imlach..ect could...

Where were you when I am talked of the same way...I happen to know a Great Deal about Hockey and Officiating..in a number of Sports.. I have coached a number of teams and have won a number of Championships in many sports..Have officiated at very high levels...I see things differently because I call it like it is , when the hawks received the same poor officiating last year I was thr first to say so...

I know VBDAD has a knowledge of the game...as a player because he said so..

I read the game with a different perspective...a different appreciation,
a different understanding.. I have coached for 45 years Mele...I am nobodys fool...I know what I am talking about..
I have zoodles of Championships , some lost ones too, but the goal is to get there,,,the bonus is to win it....

We all would like our teams to do well..
I will tell you this...Canucks success
will depend upon them playing simple
Hockey for 60 minutes...do what got them
up 3-0...keep doing it until the final whistle...

Hawks must rely on Vancouver to lay down
for another 60 minutes..to achieve the same results..doesn't mean they can not win if the nucks play better, it just means it will be a little tougher to do...

One thing chicago was doing was timing the runs in front of the net with shooter
so Vancouver has to delay the runs and get in front of more shots...in other words player high becomes bigger , player from the booards stays with the check leaves the shot to luongo...we were not doing that..for the last two games,Sedins must cycle the puck...hopefully they
    will this game...

-- really- I'd enjoy that a lot...I don't know what goes on in a game--eh right. I played until I was in my early 40's because I was good enough to do so. I got my college paid for at one of the most prestigious universities in the US ( OK they paid for 2/3- but you get my point) -
I played club hockey with Chris Chelios in the area here when we were both much younger-- BUT I don't know what goes on in a game.

Not worth my time defending that comment and more than that.

You show me your credentials of being a hockey guru please

because you have one friend that is not Hockey savvy we're all idiots here ? Geez. Yes I admit there is nmore to do in our city than hockey- not sure that is a crime..but I guess being one of the original six teams means nothing compared to the mighty northwest, I bow to Vancouvers hockey knowledge

Oh and yes, I guess the Hawks had bad ref calls for 15 years when we couldn't win either...the league had an in for old man Wirtz ( and don't think there wasn;t some of that ) - but the constant whining about the officiating is tiring.

The refs made sure the Pacers won today - at all costs-- but is anyone here whinign about it- nope- play harder and don't let the game be that close.

Not our fault your skill set players are soft

--- unless he re appears big time in the playoffs - or the coaches know that the vertigo issues are worse than they will admit -- I would agree

a lot of careers in all sports have ended from vertigo -- very unpredictable -- good days and bad days..

Who are you trying to impress...all of your comments have for the most part been hateful towards the Vancouver team...you haven't talked about any other team really, about the game in general, it has all been combative same as last year

I am done with this thread...you have said nothing in support of the Rivalary theme at all, all you want to do is fight about..what my views of the game are...there are plenty of drunks at the game, go see one a the game live...forget the bar...have tried to be nice with you but you remain the same..mean spirited..

Thread is yours Passholder I am done...
I would ask that you not refer to me in any way shape or form on this thread as I will no longer be able to respond...
