Niemi was more of an obstacle to hurdle last year...had players had softer hands..he would have been beaten a lot easier, by trying the big blast all the time played into this sparkling goal tenders hand...Crawford will have the daunting task of pressure in the play offs...there is no back up for him...it all rests on his shoulders...

Chara is not alone..but he should not think that because a weak kneed NHL representative dropped the ball..that he will be protected a third time...the NHL has set the tone...will they address hits from behind and with malicious intent we will have to wait and see...Not saying Charas was malicious because it wasn;t, it was careless and reckless...Crosby...Savard...that was malicious...
