Tink - Hawks were a very deep team last year- and remember they went all the way with a totally unproven goalie - you still had Luongo.. that was something to overcome. The better team won last year and the better team is winning this year.

No I have no illusions of the Hawks winning 4 straight- against anyone-- they are just not that consistent this year. Had one stretch all year where they were near that good. We lost every single star player for extended times this year- much like you last year- and then end up with people like Hossa playing totally banged up and really not contributing -

Campbell ( twice) Toews / Kane / Hossa /Sharp - all out extended periods Sharp skating on one knee in this series -- but I won;t make excuses -- they are getting beat -

Stan Bowman has the off season to fix iut- luckily most of our stars are very young.. remember this name for next year-- Jeremy Morin- another 19 year old from Altanta ( byfuglien trade)- 47 goals jrs- and 7 points in 7 games as captain in world juniors.

Winning isn't everything; I've seen winning games from teams I love that bore me to tears. I just find Vancouver completely boring to watch and w/o personality. Can't help it. I don't make the rules. ;-)

Besides, it's bad enough that my husband has gotten me addicted to hockey...I can't give him EVERYTHING by also loving his team. That's no way to succeed in marriage! LOL

    Passholder..nice to see you back....

Wow canucks are done in this one
    Talk about nightmare before Christmas...
despite all the breaks hawks got tonite..you still have to put the puck in the net and that the HAWKS did....

Second period we took our skates off...
let them have the blue line and their top guns took advantage....

Third period..nothing still..sedins were sleeping...Canucks must go back and play like the first three..hopefully the officials who showed up in the first two games show up again...

    How bout those Kings..wow...3-0...

I could do the exact same thing you did -here- so you have to be careful-- what about the sucker punch to the mouth of Patrick Kane and no call ?

it's funny when the Hawks win it's ONLY because they got all the breaks- (like the last 2 years) -

did you see any of the Hawks series with Philly last year - a certain large Philly defenseman could have been called for a penalty almost every time he was on the ice- yet we had to play thru it...because the refs simply were not going to call everything..took us a while to get that

The Canucks QUIT tonite- plain and simple-- maybe because they feel they didn't have to win this one- and they're right they didn't It's not a series yet - one win means nothing-- now if the Canucks play this way at home next game and lose again- then the pressure will be on them. Not after tonite though- this was just a face saving win and nothing more

AS for the calls- maybe it's because the Canucks were taking a run at everything that moved the first 3 games daring the refs to call them all.the extra glove in the face on each play etc...knowing they wouldn't. Tonight was payback time - same mentality the other way. I just wish we would have started a game earlier.

but you're right- the ref'ing in this series - down to even the little things like ensuring the defensemen know when icing is not being waved off - has been poor-- but both ways I have seen blown calls...

like you mentioned last year with guys you were mssing-- Bolland is one of those under the radar guys that has been missed. When you have a 20 year old euro center playing his 8th NHL game starting on a line in the playoffs- you're in toruble.
Kopecky also a loss for his scrappiness around the net-- a lot of grit missing. And Hossa still in a fog...I hope he gets it righted in the off season - vertigo can end a career pretty quickly...and playing without Seabrook a major hit as we are not deep on the blue line to begin with and Duncan Keith has not played well all year. Maybe it was the big contract - maybe too satisfied and too many commercials- but he's been a shadow of himself to be sure.

Anyone- a win tonite avoids embarassment- really nothing more if they can't follow with a similar effort back at your place. First goal will be huge....have to take the crowd out of it...

I'll put it here..if we win the next game the series will go 7 -- but I am wishin' and hopin'-- and maybe we'll get some more of the luck you see ( as I do the other way so I'm not criticizin' -- it's the homer in us all-- much easdier to see when you've been screwed then when you get a break for all of us ) --

I'm not feelin' it yet though.. still think the hill is too big to climb..everything has to go our way, and that rarely happens.

Hakws have shown flashes-- the 3rd period in game two was a very good period for us - at times in game 3 - but then tentative at other times...sometimes it's the intangibles a grinder like Bolland's return causes..but the Hawk stars need to show up every night because the supporting cast is not what it was in 2010.

what will beintersting will be the papers if this goes to 7th game-- you know the Torres hit will be called the turning point of the series.. as although the league did not suspend him ) God only knows why if they are serious about stopping that stuff) - but the Canucks will get precious few calls for a while IMHO....so some of what you see, is likely true

And what a different series this is at 2-2 instead of 1-3...

so as Luongo goes, so will go the Canucks. I also predict that is all odds are overcome and the Hawks win this series - Luongo is gone in a trade. I think he gets that - a lot of pressure -- again first goal game 5 is huge.

Canucks to had some not called tonite but the elbow in the head, the three by keith and the two by bolland in the first were not called....had they been called who knows hawks might not have been where they are now..poor call on the too many men..interference on the keeper chicago took out their own keeper ..the canucks never touched him...the officials are been called onto the carpet thou for the deliberate non calls on Keith...that was a joke...
