There will be interest for quite a long time, even if no headlines are made. Look at the "Baby Jessica" story (which was brought up during the miner rescue). The story is not completely forgotten, even after all these years.

I have no idea if such claims are true, I'd love to learn more from unbiased sources (relatively unbiased, anyway). It amazes me that this happened during my college years, and yet I was so uncaring I paid little attention to it at the time. I literally MISSED history in the making! (little chance of that happening these days, I'm far too obsessed with politics now compared to back in those simpler days when I didn't give a crap lol).
