It looks unfinished. It's hard to get the feel of this kind of a ride on video. But it does look like there is room to add MANY more physical elements to the ride than there appears to be. All that sort of plussing really does make for a better overall experience. I like that there are cameos by old Knott's attractions. It would have been in-theme and fairly easy to add some bits of actual twisted track and old signage and ride vehicles strewn about that you pass through. I wish more theme parks really "went for it" when adding new attractions. It seems like for most, good enough is good enough. Maybe they think all those extra elements are wasteful costs, but they pay off much better in the long run by making an attraction more repeatable. The queue could have gone nuts with all kinds of crazy steampunk elements: Big glass cylinder columns filled with bubbling water, copper pipes and gears and brass dials and gauges, all setting the stage for the steampunk sea creature attack to come. All moodily lit. Instead it's a rather blank, wide open boarding area with fluorescent tubes overhead.
