Essentially, if you're in the front portion it's sitting-room-only with all the areas behind it being standing-room-only.

They always enforce the sitting-only area, and only open it when wind conditions permit, but the remaining standing area depends on the crowds - once Disney feels the crowds are large enough they start asking people to stand to allow more people into the area.

Both opening of sitting-room and the forced "you must stand in this area" happen during the last 20mins leading up to showtime.

I've taken the stance of generally ignoring "newbies" due to past interactions where they've felt compelled to demand information from me - even at times refusing to look up basic information on their own because it's just easier to ask me for the answer.

I've also said a couple of things jokingly to you in the hopes of having fun and making you (or others) laugh which is just kind of how I am. I like to make jokes. I like to make things a little lighter and funner. On the flip side however,

I do like to ask information at times in the hopes of trying to sort everyone out and get an idea in my head of who I'm talking to. Being a "newbie" it's easy to get all of the people confused with others and if I have something to put with a name it just makes it easier to remember next time I see a post by the same person.

Like "Oh mousermerf, he's the guy who use to work at Epcot and now lives in the LA area."

So most of the time when I say things you think are inappropriate it's a mix of trying to make you laugh or/and trying to get to know you better.

Some people respond better to my style of humor than others and in return I get to know them a lot better much quicker. Some just don't prefer my style and don't think I'm funny, which is fine. I realize that and am okay with it.

I knew you'd say exactly what you said in that post above. I had a feeling you were reacting negatively to my attempts at joking around with you. And that's another potential outcome to my joking around/trying to get to know you better, it also helps me to realize the people that don't enjoy me or my humor. So I can take that into consideration and keep my distance since you prefer that. I'm sorry to have offended you, I'll do what I can to avoid that in the future.

Wait, I thought this show was going to be visible from pretty much anywhere around the lagoon. Yes, the area directly in front will be the premium spot, but I don't see why someone couldn't stand behind it and see it too. I prefer to watch the DL fireworks from Main Street, but plenty of people seem just fine watching them from other spots in the park.

If they do that'd be fantastic! Would solve a lot of problems, but, not very likely.

Which show are you going to? I'm curious because the shows at DL and WDW are both seated shows. I'm guessing you're getting to the show late and have to stand further down the rivers of america away from the main show area?

Therefore it really can't be compared to watching parades, fireworks or Fantasmic. Those 3 other shows allow for people to roam around and leave the area more readily than World of Color seems to be planned for. World of Color will mean you're stuck right where you are until after the show is over--unless they're coming up with a plan to address that very issue that we don't yet know about.

I'm not sure why everyone is getting so worked up over how WOC will be viewed. Can't we all just wait and see what actually happens, instead of getting worked up over perhaps nothing?

If you're able to get a seated spot, it's fantastic, but if you're in one of the standing areas you will be smushed in like you wouldn't believe. I know it's done so they can have better crowd flow through there (since the walkways cut directly through the viewing areas), but it does seem a little rediculous at times.

I'm expecting that something similar will be done for WOC once they try it out with real people. I would expect that the first couple of tiers would be sitting space and the back few would standing room. While you can fit more people in standing, 2/3 of them won't be able to see a thing (especially since they will be looking down at the foundtains instead of up at the sky like the fireworks). I don't know if this is going to be taken into consideration, but since the show will be something you're supposed to watch, I would hope they might think about that.

That view doesn't look all that good to me. If you're right up against the railing, sure. But unless they have terracing work yet to be done, it seems like the people more than a few rows back would have trouble seeing much of anything.

I thought they'd create a nice viewing area for guests of their most expensive hotel, but maybe that photo is deceiving.
