All good and missed on many levels, however, Spirit was not a discussion motivated poster. He wanted to upstage everyone. Show us his superior position and alleged contacts without ever explaining what backed that all up. He was totally condescending to anyone making any statement that he disagreed with and somehow felt that we all had to swallow, hook, line and sinker, everything that he said. But enough about that...actually more than enough.

Say what you want about the MK expansion, it ends up being a D ticket dark ride, a kiddie coaster, restaurant and meet and greets. And while it may be geographically big, it really isn't exciting enough to make me retain my AP. The Art of Animation expansion is just a repurposing of an existing building that if the economy hadn't tanked, would have opened several years ago with a different theme. And while Disney hotels are nice, they aren't attractions and unless you plan to stay there really have little to do with the theme parks.

The annual pass policy was my proverbial straw. My visits have been limited to gay days visits for the saturday "red shirt" celebration. I stay off property and spend little time in the parks. I even skipped last years gay days and I will be skipping this year's gay days too. I will wait until fantasyland expansion is fully open or until avatar opens. Again - they need to step it up to get me there now. I will also make a trip to Orlando when the second phase of potter opens. My next Disney trip will be to Anaheim to see the revamped DCA. Can't wait. So excited. WDW is seriously falling behind in th excitement dept as already pointed out here - hence the lack of participation on these boards.

Ok...but that's not much to write home about.<< Leobloom, some things that we used to discuss on LP are no longer discussion topics because we've seen build out on construction projects that we were talking about. And, we now have DisneyBlogs, D23, DisneyGeek, Disney Facebook and Twitter pages, and other official Disney sources that provide the info that we once obtained by exchanging gossip, slipping company secrets and posting secretly taken backstage photos on LP boards to attain such "information." Things have certainly changed over time, including LP community membership and how we get our Disney information. With that said, instead of continuing to rely on other LP posters to create topics that interest and enlighten you, and expressing disappointed if we don't meet your expectations, maybe you could create new topics of your own in which we can all discuss and learn from as well. To date, you've been actively participating on LP since 2005; yet, you have only created 17 discussion topics thus far. LP is a participative community and is what we members make of it. While you expressed in this thread that my recent topic on POTC's missing Jolly Roger animatronic figure was "lame" to you, we've always had LP discussions on elements being added or removed from Disney Park attractions and shows. For example, we've had threads on HM's missing Hat Box Ghost at DL, the addition of a Madame Leota tombstone in the HM graveyard at MK, the addition of floating Leota, ice effect machine inoperable and discontinued on the Matterhorn, hopping Brer Rabbit animatronic temporarily inoperable on Splash Mountain at MK, Dreamfinder removed at Epcot, FedEx removed from Space Mountain, the addition of Capt. Jack Sparrow at POTC, new vocal talent used on BTMRR safety spiel at DL, new street pavement being laid, new yellow safety tape being added to loading stations, air-gates, rethemed food carts, churros, popcorn, corndogs, lightbulbs, etc. For me, the removal of the Jolly Roger animatronic figure at MK's POTC fits right into those discussion topics, as the Jolly Roger is prominently featured in other parks' versions of POTC and in POTC movie logos and merchandise. It's Disney's attention to details that keep us attracted to the parks, which LPers notice when those details are changed... which hence spark our discussion topics. But, if you don't like our discussion topics and feel the boards are not as active or interesting as you would like them to be, instead of complaining and maybe leaving, I again encourage you to feel free to create some topics of your own (maybe post something you've researched or noticed at Disney Parks) that we can all discuss to make these boards a more entertaining and enlightening place for everyone.

And I love the idea of miniature photos for sale. The nature of taking a miniature photo is taken at such a distance it would not be possible to identify a face. It would be cool it it was possible.
