I think by many years later his position would have changed. Not "softened" so much as modified for the better. A more sensible overall approach to many things rather than brand new every day.

Walt didn't like people telling him how to run his business. But when he ran it, if he ended up doing something that someone else might have recommended to begin with, so be it. At least he found it on his own.

What exact problem do you have with that scenario. Do you assume that anyone that lives in a "trailer" is a low life, uncultured, uneducated and uninformed, classless human being?

Park your biggoted butt elsewhere. There are serious discussions to be had amongst people with differing points of view. That imagined feeling of superiority doesn't command respect from my viewpoint.

And when it comes to mean-spirited... your looking at the wrong person.. when people disagree with your opinions it is not mean=spirited... it's called a diff of opinion...

When they diss me though Pixie, I WILL NOT take it. I've worked too hard for 30 for someone to tell me the mayor of Orlando and 90% of business people are wrong. He is a fool. Trailer park who knows?

These few posters do not.
God forfend if I say to those posters that just now, I stopped and talked to Bobby Orr who is just back in town. They'd hit the rood:( I LOVE to hear happy things, whether about coach's fam < father or kid or Av's remarkable life. They have accomplished so much more than I ever did before 30? It makes me NOT want to share anything but my failures which has been most of my life.
Go figure on a disney the anger at other people's success and using my working out 4 hours a day and knowing famous people as a BAD thing and a weapon AGAINST me.
Well out to play golf with my son after little league> PRICELESS! I hope people don't resent that?:(
Also ---Diane and Rachel are going out shopping for Brad's 11th birthday on Fri. Is that too happy and bragging to post. I'm sorry to all my special friends who I feel really close to. We all have so much love and like to share and I'm just been trying to do the same.
FFOOOOOORRRREEEEEEE for all you golfers out there> right coach?????????????:)

So I guess I am where I should be somewhere between the best and the worst. I find it hilarious that in a medium sized city you can have the one of the best high schools in the system and one of the worst.

I think Walt's main goal though is progress, he wants progress he wants positiveness he wants growth (personal etc), he wants families together. That's why he tried to design a community that would better the family.

Luv the namecalling Joe. You're a real class act. And I'm so very impressed you claim to know the mayor and all these Orlando business bigshots. It's amazing you have time for us little people here on LaughingPlace.com.

I'm not a fool, Joe, although some would say I am for wasting time responding to you.

And I also don't live in a trailer, but I also don't judge people by way they live or how much money they have or who they know, but rather what kind of person they are.

You just appeared here recently and appear to serve no other purpose but to flaunt who you may or may not know and how much money you may or may not possess. I'm so not interested.

I come here to debate and discuss Disney, so please enough with the personal attacks and the bravado. You might want to concentrate on basic English and grammar because I have a very hard time understanding much of what you even post.

    Have a magical Easter!

The other school one of the feeder schools boasts:
82% of parents do not have post secondary
only half the students passed standardized testing

That school didn't even offer an enrichment program (*AE courses, *A1 would be advanced (university prep, now academic), *G1 (community college/ trades prep now applied), or *B1 courses (for special students).

It's amazing how different standards could be

My first high school in English did 2 shakespeare plays, 1 "misc" Ie Oedipus Rex, Death of a Salesman, did 1 classic, 1 canadian and 1 contemporary book in a semester, always had a short story component etc the other highschool did half the books, I wrote longer essays in gr 10 then I did in gr 13

That depends. If you take wade to mean I've been surrounded, knee-deep in food refuse, then of course not. But have I wound up stepping in somebody's food remnants casually left in the middle of Main Street or the Tomorrowland bridge after Wishes? Yes. That reflects on all the custodial cutbacks that WDW has experienced over the past dozen years.

There are times when the MK looks almost pristine, but those times are rarer and only at very uncrowded times. It used to look that way every day.

''It is your opinion, and your welcome to it... and when I go there the place looks spotless to me, who are you to tell me different.. thats my opinion.. I have NEVER seen the problems that you say exisit...''

Just because you've never seen them or chosen to notice them does not mean they do not exist.

Yes. It is my opinion that WDW is far less maintained then it was 10 or 20 or 30 years ago. But it is a fact that WDW has let go many custodial CMs, turned full-time positions into parttime, outsourced certain custodial work at the resorts and has a different level of acceptability when it comes to cleanliness than it used to.

''I'm not mean-spirited... I see you spend alot of time reading the community rules though.. LOL''

No. I never do. But I did have them thrown in my face once. The fact is a poster (Mr. X) came onto this thread, one that was dorment for weeks and used an obscenity toward me when attacking my argument that sat here for over a day before the mods removed it. That's the only reason I brought it up.

''... I'm just one lady who disagrees with you... I don't see what you see.. and both my feet of on the ground... I will be there again on May 11th.. I will keep a open mind as I always do... "

    Good. Have a great time!

I was not pointing fingers at anyone as there has been a lot of mud slinging on certain post by quite a few people. I do understand that you feel the need to defend yourself and rightly so as well as anyone else. I just don't agree with the way it's done on anyone's behalf not just yours.

I don't know you at all except for the times that we posted back and forth and you have always been very respectful and helpful to me and I appreciate that. I also value your opinion whether I agree with it or not.

I am truly happy that you are spending time with your family. You are right, that is priceless. I don't think people think that it is a bad thing that you know famous people, work out 4 hours a day or are successful. I just think it might be the way that you come across in your postings. I am very honest with all of my friends. I hope you had a wonderful time playing golf with your son. Your friend, Coach :)

LuvDatDisney, Look if I said something that offended you I'm sorry... this thread has got out of hand... I'm the last prson that wants a fight on here or anywhere... I just thought you seemed over the top on your decriptions of the park... and yes I've seen people throwing things down during the Wishes firworks... intersting because at the last few Wishes that I was at you could't see the ground, it was dark and tons of people, I don't think the crews at Disney would even be able to clear the rubbish until the crowds thinned out... they are barely able to get their vacums on the street to get the 10 tons of popcorn... so maybe this situation is diff thne the norm... after the firworks and when its dark and thousands clamoring to exit the park as fast as they can... how do you expect the Disney cleanup crew to get in there, you can barely walk without taking baby steps.. in normal situations I have never see food scattered about and left unattended... I really don't want to bebate this anymore... there are so many nicer things then trash and trash talk.. we both feel strongly about it, so we will leave it at that... We both agree on two things, that Disney is no way like it was 20 yrs ago and we agree to both disagree.. Happy Easter to everyone that I might have offended, it won't happen again... sorry.. Pixie..
