If you think I think WDW is some big trash dump, you're mistaken.

I'm just deeply saddened and frustrated at the drop in standards at WDW, which is still a great place or I wouldn't be there all the time, over the past dozen years. And when people tell me I'm wrong and that I'm not seeing what I'm seeing, well that does push my buttons. But it in no way offends me. I come here with an open mind. I wish everyone else did.

Anyway, have a nice holiday weekend!

just my two cents....never ever come to WDW and post after being on WE for any period of time - take a break for a few minutes first.
the personal bashing was so bad....some posters just post the same crapola time after time, regardless of the thread and facts...

I left WE over 6 months ago and don't miss it...even though some of the best long time posters on WDW still post there...

Agreed. While thread drift is a fact of life, it sure can cause a seemingly simple topic and turn it into a grind that's no fun to visit.

Sometimes it gets so far from the original topic that I asked Doobie to publish the first poster's opening paragraph on the top of each page of 10 responses....so people can remember what the heck the original topic was about and what the original poster's intention was.

I hope that you can get over it and truly enjoy what you have without feeling the need to shove it in everyone else's face. You will be happier and those around you will be too.

If there is a thread about people's homes it would be fine for you to brag a bit. You have a very nice home and are justifiably proud.

If there is a thread about real estate or investing it would be interesting to hear of your experiences. I think most people are interested in good ways to make a buck.

What gets under people's skin is when you bring these things into a discussion that has NOTHING to do with them. Then it seems like you are really trying to shove what you have in people's faces. It gets especially bad when if someone disagrees with you then you suggest they are just saying that because they have little or nothing.

I know you've apologized one or twice for doing that so I know when you think it over it's not really something you mean. It is perhaps not my place to say this, but I guess I do so because I think you ARE a nice guy and wish you could tone things down a bit so more people would see that.

    :)

    YOUR TRIP report.
You posted a "little" just kinda gettin the feel of what people would say, as we all do. Then you said something like "It doesn't seem like anyone is that interested" I quickly jumped on that as a good human being who had a special trip and didn't think that anyone cared? I got you to come out and give this pouring your heart out report. Remember? And I read your report and I cried and I posted that you moved me or something like that> just like I did with CM Paley? Remember? Yesterday Pixie was INTELLECTUALLY attacked as well as emotinally by a poster LUV with a thanks for the bio! Following so far Trippy. That was a cry for help as she even showed her vulnerability by saying that she was "ignored" I came in to help her and the rest is "Joe is bragging about 4 hours, house, ad nauseum" history. And here we are.
    55's bday--I started the thread
100's of examples any yet I'm the heavy even though you yourself talk about your twins game which I AGAIN supported last night. Your model trains, height, sickness, each and every one I supported.
I LOVE that personal you telling everyone every little detail of your life. I LOVE it but I have to believe you as I have NOT had anyone support me and you HAVE to be telling the truth so I will only talk to people who express an expressed interest in my life, otherwise my trolling around here to give support and help MINUS my stuff.
YOU Trippy are rational and I am nothing if not TRUTHFUL and HONEST as I tell Rachel and Brad. I respect a killer, thief or anyone more than a liar so I always take the truth for or AGAINST me.
I pray this makes sense as again with so many NOT understanding me, I must see that to be the truth. Maybe this post will cause MORE problems but I pray it doesn't.
I hope you guys had a blast today Trippy that famous doobie in the rockin chair with our savior Jesus. :)

You know, there ought to be a button you could press on any discussion thread page that rings a bell and says "Time to get back on topic!"

    Don't you think?

Either that or when you are in the WDW General section, it says there are 68 posts, and when you pull up the thread there are really 69.

But yes, a button would be nice. ;)
