I'll bet you saw me more than once or twice a night at your register! And yes they were Sweda registers, and if the power every went out in the Emporium, which it did a few times, we had three hand cranks and the Leads would go from register to register "cranking" over sales! Those were fun times. Hope to hear from you.

Each land was its own separate division (scheduling, paychecks) and also planned some of its own parties. We had a winter fantasyland ball. It was a very formal event at the Disneyland Hotel Grand Ballroom (dinner, dancing, pictures:That was such a great event). Does anyone know if they still hold Minnie's Moonlight madness? It was a scavenger hunt held after public park hours just for cast members. You would be in a group of 4 all bungee corded together, running through the park looking for clues. All this reminiscing is making yearn to work there again. Ahhhhh, such wonderful memories.

Not too shabby with all those teams!! It was 1997 - the year it was called Minnie's Moonlight Magic to go along with Light Magic. My first summer there I was a Tour Guide and I used to volunteer to do Guest Control. I had to stand on the steps of City Hall to keep the middle steps clear during parades. It was always magical to watch all of the Guests on Main Street at night and to hear the music for the Main Street Electrical Parade begin. That voice..."Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls....Disneyland proudly presents our spectacular festival pageant of nighttime magic and imagination. In thousands of sparkling lights and electrsynthamagnetic musical sounds....The Main Street Electrical Parade!!!" Then the lights would go out around the parade route and the Guests would cheer, and I'd turn on my flashlight and wave it in time with the Baroque Hoedown. I still get tears in my eyes thinking about it. Having so many people in one place who are that excited about Disneyland is the reason I wanted to work there in the first place. Disneyland will always be magical to me. I have so many memories from my time there. I started in Guest Relations then moved to Center Stage (Main Street Attractions, Parking Lot, Main Entrance) and then stayed with the Main Entrance when the departments split apart!

Well our team one....although I don't remember right now how many pennies we turned in. Our prize was an evening of dinner at RJ for Ribs in Beverly and the dessert at the origianl Cheesecake Factory also in Beverly Hills. And the best part....we didn't have to drive ourselves, Disney furnished the transportation in the MOUSEORAIL! The Mouseorail was the old Monorail Red with the bullet nose and tail. They took each end of the Monorail and put one cab in the middle and mounted it on a truch chassie I think and it became the most wonderful limo. Our team of four was able to invite about 9 or 10 more people to go on this trip, and we were all picked up at one place which was our choice. We choose the home of the person who lived the furthest and that was in Chino Hills. So here we are all waiting for the Mouseorail to arrive. All of the sudden we hear an airhorn blasting out "When You Wish Upon A Star", and here came the Mouseorail around the corner. The community went wild. The even sent a video crew to follow us that evening. You should have seen the looks we got traveling down the California Freeways in the Mouseorail. It was an evening I will never forget.
