If I can do that by denying him access to them or by limiting the parts of the facility that he can move through then I've cost him time. Every second you cost him is a life saved, potentially. It would be nice if we didn't have as many weapons out there as we do, or if we did mental health checks on everyone seeking to buy a gun. But if that ever happens it is probably a decade away at least and I have to protect my patients now.

And if not guns, explosives or some other weapon. So it's going to take a whole series of measures to try and stop the level of gun violence in the US. And still we won't be able to stop them all. But that doesn't mean not trying.
