I don't think they're banking on "dumb" as much as uninformed. Neophytes are an advertisers dream.

So we get Disneyland Barbie with a photo background of the MK station, and a back cover photo of the MK's Splash Mountain on the official Disneyland Resort CD. There are many, many more examples I could cite. I believe it is a combination of outsourcing and complete lack of care over how each park is being presented. Consider, too, that the current head of Parks and Resorts really believes in the notion that, when it comes to promotion, one size fits all. It starts at the top, folks. A company the size of Disney should be able to have a unqiue Florida campaign showcasing everything from Ozzy's Lights at the Studios, to Holidays Around the World at Epcot, to Jingle Jamming Parade at DAK to the new Lighting and Holiday Wishes at MK. They're just unebelievable cheap and lazy. I was hoping for better when Mendenhall left the company, but it's just more of the same.

If using stock footage from all the parks is a cost-effective way to produce these commercials, I'm all for it.

Good QUALITY entertainment.

If they wanna get FL residents to come visit the parks during the holidays maybe, I don't know, actually show what the heck is going on.
