Ill agree about the MK sit downs.. Tony's was decent when I went but I'm not in any hurry to go back. I'd rather eat at Pecos or Casey's (or Ohana or Artist Point)

It's ok, and it is the best option, but I find the resorts, Epcot and Studios are a far greater draw. But we all have different pallettes.

I know I find a lot of food in the states is now too greasy or salty for my pallette. When I first moved to the UK, it took decades to get used to the food (and some traditional food I find dull here).

I am always happy eating in mainland Europe however.

I've lived in the States all my life, and I find most restaurants too salty. But my DH pours on more salt.

Had a fantastic trip and found 'free dining' super enjoyable. My opinions:

Hoop-de-doo: super fun show, food was good, could eat more cornbread right now!
    would return

Cinderella's Royal table: awesome eating in the Castle, well, being in the Castle, eating was less than awesome. Eggs were awful, service was good, and all the princesses came to visit even though we were grownups. glad we did it once, would not return

Boma: interesting options, beautiful setting, would absolutely return.

Le Cellier: best meal in a long time "scopa special" filet with mushrooms was unreal and I don't even like mushrooms, would like to return. tomorrow.

Yak and Yeti: a nice break from more typical theme park food, also enjoyed the take out window and could have gotten my fix there for a lot less $. would return to the takeout window.

50s Prime time Cafe: food was barely ok (meatloaf...) and a small portion, our server seemed bored, would not return.

Coral Reef: I enjoyed eating fish while looking at fish (disturbing). Food was good, would like to try other places before we return here.

At Epcot I love Marrakesh, Nine Dragons and Biergarten. I love San Angel Inn for the ambiance and the fact that anything tastes good after a couple of margaritas.

Rose and Crown is good for the Illuminations view but not much else. The previous restaurant at Italy (Alfredo's) was the most over-rated at Epcot... I've never tried the new one. I would LOVE to try the restaurants at France but could never interest Rosie in the menus. Now I will have to give them a try.

NOW… for the comment that will put me in the LP dining doghouse...

Since Alfredo's is history, what is NOW the most over-rated restaurant at Epcot? No question... Le Celllier at Canada!! COME ON FOLKS... it is at best a mid-scale steakhouse with a great beer cheese soup and nothing else. You can get a better meal at any upscale steakhouse in America. I cannot believe the constant drooling over this place that I hear. I've eaten there several times and it is good, 'safe', and enjoyable. But a great dining experience? NO WAY!!

    Bring it on...

    ;-)

Don't forget the faboo pretzel bread, Trippy! :)

Oh, and as for the French restaurants, I HIGHLY recommend le Bistro de Paris. It's great! had a nice dinner there with Spirit a few years ago, and -em and I will be having dinner there on Christmas this year. :)

I love the beer cheese soup. I've had good steaks there and mediocre salmon and pork chops. I've had better meals at steakhouses in both Minneapolis and Vegas. Maybe I should give it another try. But not this year... I am trying Chefs de France for the first time!
