No, haha. I was there in 2008-2011. I was a CP spring 2008, and was seasonal until this year. But I'm proud to say the JC was one of those rides I did at least 3-4 times on my trips, so I'm fairly aware of what everything should look like.

We need help getting this off the ground and I know there are many WDW enthusiasts here who are sick of the TDO, we need an Al Lutz type who will help keep them in check(or at least voice our displeasure).

    Anybody willing to help??<<<

Sorry I am not willing to help. Simply because there is NO ONE in place at WDW's management team that cares one bit for what fans have to say. Remember..I have been calling out Disney on their bad judgement, decisions and poor quality of most everything related to the WDW parks, in particular the MK. There is a certain arrogance among the management team at WDW and their position is basically.."we know what we are doing, which is the best for the bottom line". Not really what's best to guests seeking a real "disney" quality experience that matches the price paid.
Not until there are people in management who truly care about WDW's operation and quality and even it's future.. will there ever be change. That is why I am not bothered anymore and practically retired from these boards.

I have given up. You all should too. Go to Universal instead.

Improbable? a little but for fans of WDW we are willing to put in the effort.

BTW...Lee Im not stalking from site to site, I figured I'm safe since this is my thread..haha

You could say that for any sort of management team be in other entertainment fields, be it theme parks, movies, music, tv, sports. Some section of a fanbase regardless will be unhappy with the current status which leads to a lot of armchair quarterbacking.

No that is not correct. I am not talking about fanboys. If I were, I would have used that word. I very deliberately and consciously used the word "G"uest.

These managers were hired in when Disney was already top-dog. They suffer from that knowledge and that sense of superiority. The amount of "G"uest ridicule and disdain among the CM ranks is the highest I think it has ever been. It keeps growing.

They are not talking about internet obsessive fanboys. Just run of the mill guests who have shut their brain off (remember that line?) upon coming through the gates. Now this is in reference to the higher rung CMs, they are the ones I see that feel that guest complaints or comments simply get in the way of doing their job. That they know better then the admission paying guest. The antithesis to how this company became successful.

Please don't confuse this with the lower rung CMs. I understand why the front line CMs have the attitude, they are underpaid for what they have to deal with and also suffer from insufficient training partially due to a grossly incompetent HR department.

    IMO.

It's not like "fighting" this is an actual war that requires effort... it's an opinion.

Unless I'm to apathetic to really realize what I should be doing...?

Currently we only have 5 members and most are not local, like myself. We have the forum site up and running which required quite a bit of technical stuff, which is being handled by our forum admin. We have the social media being handled by myself and a few people, although we are hardly experts. And we have a blog side of the site going now for a few weeks, with a couple of great articles on the way. I think Spirit will like the next one.

We really need help focusing on the picture aspect of the forum. That is what will be the evidence to show TDO. Our YouTube site is also empty for the time being.

Email me at daniel@fixthemagic.com or Devoy at Andrew@fixthemagic.com, we have some things working that we could use some support.

    thanks

No armchair imagineering on www.fixthemagic.com. Unless it pops up in a General Discussions thread... =/

what a waste...I guess you can find a way to work our URL into every one of your future posts here.

    haha.

In all serious though, you can join our site, participate in discussions, and when you do visit WDW you can keep us in mind when you're walking around. We lack a local in our ranks right now as Daniel pointed out (we are actively trying to resolve this oversight!), though I also started a "Trip Tracker" thread on the site so we can see what kind of coverage we can get from our existing members.

If I have to...if it comes to it...and even though the fiance says we need to wait until after the wedding...I will break down and buy new passes...for research purposes only of course!

Sorry Mr. Explorer but I have been fighting this same fight for nearly two decades and I will give myself the credit for being one of the very first fanboys to call upon WDW's declining standards way before many of you noticed it. Of course, I had the advantage of being a regular "G"uest at Tokyo Disney Resort, so I did have something worthwhile to compare WDW against with. And furthermore, it was my fellow posters on these fan sites that shot me down for my negativity and realistic views of the WDW property. So that is why I gave up the fight.. it was bad going against WDW management but against the fan base as well? Just not worth my time, effort or aggraviation.
But I am here to tell you all... your efforts will only matter IF and only IF the right person is at the top of that food chain in Florida. Right now, that is not the case. As long as badly dressed and overweight tourists in flipflops, UK guests who should be going to DLP instead, and teeny bopper brazillian tour groups continue to pour into WDW's dated and lackluster world of fantasy and cheesy hotel properties... THINGS WILL NOT CHANGE FOR THE BETTER. It will take a miracle or maybe OLC to turn things around at WDW.

I just feel it is a loss cause.

I agree with all these things and commend you for being a voice that was one for a better Disney.

I'm still relatively "new" to the cause... only joined the Disney online community in 2006 after returning to WDW after quite a while and finding it in shambles. Since then, I've been much of the same mindset as you... Disney needs help. It's faltering. In some areas, it's already faltered.

But I don't think it's time to evacuate ship and man the life boats. Things can change, just like you said. I think that'll happen... eventually.

Any idea if the BOD is still in town...? LOL
